Barack Obama iPhone App!

Well it seems at least Barack Obama or his campaign managers are smart on the latest technology, they created an iPhone app for getting involved in this politics race.
Knock yourself out if you are for Barack Obama. Now, where’s McCain’s iPhone app? His probably too old to even know what an iPhone is. Oh well, I’d really like to see a President who’s updated on technology.

Samsung SWC-E100 ExpressCard and WiMAX is in Baltimore!

Well, the great news is that WiMAX service that I have been complaining about for years is finally here but only still in Baltimore.
We should expect WiMAX to become available in more areas and why is this good?
WiMAX is about 5-10 times faster than Sprint’s CDMA network, meaning this WiMAX broadband card will allow you to surf at Cable DSL speeds anywhere you go.
But until there’s more coverage, you will have to wait.
This WiMAX card is actually cheaper than most broadband cards out on the market today at $59.99 plus there’s no contract, a really good deal if you ask me.
As it’s the first of its kind, the E100 is the only XOHM card we’ve tested so far, so we can’t compare it to other WiMAX equipment. Our overall average speeds were 2.3Mbps down and 915Kbps up, which fits into Sprint’s advertised range of 2-4 megabits down and 500-1500Kbps up. But speeds varied widely depending on signal strength: we achieved downloads as fast as 7.1 megabits, and as slow as 620 kilobits.
Automakers get $25 Billion from Bush, God dang it!

Our President Bush, the most miserable failure in history of the United States, decides to sign another bill that will allow automakers to borrow $25 Billion, adding to the national deficit of $700 billion.(or is it $800 billion)
Whatever the case is, this is kind of an outrageous stuff because I would have never voted for this bill to pass. I don’t see how pumping more money into the auto industry will help our economy, maybe create more factory jobs.
While the U.S. banking industry is still waiting for Congress to give it a $700 billion hand, President Bush signed into law last night the spending bill that gives U.S. automakers $25 billion in loans to get their collective act together.
But unlike when a bank deems you worthy of their money, the Big Three won’t be getting any cash for some time. Despite the companys’ CEOs saying repeatedly how they were desperate for help and how automotive life as they know it would end if they didn’t get financial help, there’s at least a 60-day delay until they can cash this check.
This is exactly the reason why our economy is failing and getting worse. Can someone please give George Bush a blowjob tomorrow so we can impeach the day after that? Another miserable failure act from the worst President in history who has his name more associated with the sewer plant in San Francisco than any kind of brains.
$70,000 3D Digital Screens coming to your Local Theatre soon!
Here’s some great news for movie-addicts. Theatres around the country will be replacing outdated projector screens with 3D-capable digital screens, meaning you will get some cool screens like the IMAX-3D even for your regular movies.
Nice, but I hope they don’t raise the prices, then I’d probably rather get a 150″ LCD TV for myself.
AT&T trying to screw up Consumers again, this time with DirecTV!

As if buying Cingular Wireless last year just to get the iPhone on AT&T’s side and providing users with crappy 3G service wasn’t enough, AT&T is now going to try screwing us again with Satellite TV from DirecTV.
As a long customer of AT&T (couple years ago), I am glad I made the choice to never buy or use any of their products until they die a horrible death. Well, literally, AT&T is full of crap and the only reason they are surviving is the fact that their deceptive marketing is so good.
Now, I don’t even like any cable or satellite companies, but AT&T, I do hate with passion. (Yes, only if their customer support team was able to refund all my monies that might change but heck, they are a big giant poop to me now.)
Help my cause and please boycott AT&T at all possible costs. You can buy the iPod Touch, just don’t buy an iPhone with AT&T. (crap, it’s crap, get the G-phone)
AT&T will market and sell a co-branded version of DirecTV’s satellite TV service after Jan. 31, 2009 — a deal that will leave Dish Network without a major reseller partner.
Financial details of the non-equity agreement, announced late Friday, were not disclosed.
DirecTV has similar agreements with Verizon Communications, which markets the direct-broadcast satellite service in areas where it doesn’t offer FiOS TV, as well as Qwest Communications International.

Verizon Blackberry Storm Schedule Leaked!

Remember we told you about the Verizon Blackberry Storm leak couple weeks ago?
Well, it looks like Verizon employees will be doing some online courses for the Storm so that means it should be available soon after their training is over on November 2nd, 2008.
Nice, huh?
iPhone 3G Lawsuits Popping Up Everywhere!

I keep banging this site about how badly iPhone or iPhone 3G is advertised. Of course, most phones do the same thing and could be called “deceptive advertising” but in this case, it’s Apple for christ-sakes.
If they have to lie to consumers on their ads, there’s enough people to get mad enough to sue Apple.
I completely agree that Apple needs to reimburse customers for the slow AT&T 3G speeds and also for false advertising.
Even if 99% of people in the world don’t care, it’s plain and pretty easy to prove that iPhone 3G maybe one of the slowest PDAs out there.
Only if Steve Jobs decided to go with Sprint or Verizon, these lawsuits could have been avoided.
I foresee only more trouble for the iPhone 3G for the next couple months. Steve Jobs hyped the “3G” speeds and features, yet consumers report back 3G as slow and not worth the extra features.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple’s products, just not their deceptive advertising which happend of lately.

Here’s the pics and vids for the T-mobile G1, world’s first ever Google Android-enabled cellphone.
I do like the big keyboard but I am not a big fan of flip-tops as I can’t type while I am driving. (That’s why I stick with a Blackberry for now)
