Here’s the video if you can’t see it.  (some kinda YouTube bug…yes blame it on the big company)

Cool, check out this awesome 3-Axis servo motor drawing “HackADay”. You can get the board for really cheap from this guy.

The preprogrammed AVR microcontroller must be purchased directly from Uli Huber. We do not carry the chips.

Please include $5 shipping and handling for destinations within the continental United States. For all other areas, please include $7 for shipping charges.

For those only interested in purchasing a single bare pcb board, shipping and handling can be avoided by sending us the cost of the pcb and include a self addressed stamped envelope with your order. Please attach three first class stamps to the envelope with your legible return address. We suggest using cardboard floppy disks envelopes that can be purchased at office supply stores. US only.

Yet another Segway story

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Household, Motor by david on the November 8th, 2007 at 2:00 pm

Segways one day will rule the world; they will become aware and eventually rule us humans until we fight back. But until them we can do as we please the Segway and here are a couple of examples that just go to show how good they can look.

fancy segways

These are really customised versions of the two wheeled machine, which I think would surprise many people when they see them.

fancy segways

They have been given custom paint jobs, metal trims and some really great chrome wheels. Plus like the one in the second picture this one has a trailer, which would be great for going down to Wal Mart to get the groceries.

Now this is class

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Motor by david on the November 2nd, 2007 at 2:00 pm

See this is what happens when you put on a world class motor show in Las Vegas, people just go crazy, whether it’s the lights of gambling but whatever but it certainly brings out the inner gambler from some of the designers.

roulette-rims

These wheel trims believe it or not are in the shape of roulette wheels, but these wheels you would never be seeing inside a casino, these are just far to classy, made by Lenso and with added touches from Louis Vuitton.

Unfortunately there are no details of price and availability, which is a shame; they would have looked great on my car!

No more bunches of keys

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Gadgets, Household, Motor by david on the October 30th, 2007 at 8:00 am

The Keyport is a great new device that comes with six blank keys which should be able to be cut into any shape that is required, though I fail to see how this will work, because different makes of lock have different styles of key, but there you go!

the key port

Each key is retractable into the case, which should mean that you will never have to carry around a bunch of keys in your pocket ever again. This is going to be a limited run of around 5000 units, so you had better get in there fast.

The Keyport will come in a choice of colours, pink, sliver, black and blue and is made from stainless steel.

Priced at $295 plus $75 for shipping.

Blow your car up!

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Motor by david on the October 30th, 2007 at 6:00 am

No I am not talking about the things that bad people do, after all this is a Porsche, or is it?

blow up porsche

As you can see this car is finished in bright red and has a strange sort of finish to it, looking almost similar to a beach ball or something!

blow up porsche

That was a clue, this is the worlds first blow up Porsche sports car, unfortunately though there is very little information around that can give us any more details, clearly it is in an art gallery that would suggest that its a project of some sort.

blow up porsche

I think that it’s pretty cool, and in fact I bet that if this became available on the market there would be many folks buying these just to leave them on the drive to make people think that they have got a nice sports car.

You can go anywhere in this!

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Household, Motor by david on the October 26th, 2007 at 6:00 am

Hitting the open road in an RV has taken on a new meaning with this saying with this vehicle. At 42.5 feet long it would take some serious driving too, yet as you can see from the images this is no ordinary vehicle.

amphibious vehicle

Features include a 42″ plasma TV, an In Motion satellite with Direct TV, a trash compactor and a combination washer/dryer.

amphibious vehicle

As the image shows this is also an amphibious vehicle that is powered by a Caterpillar 3126E turbo charged engine and two nineteen inch propellers which are made from bronze. Naturally this is the top of the range vehicle and has everything that you would expect to get in a vehicle that has a starting price of $850,000.

The Segway by Ferrari

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Motor, Travel by david on the October 23rd, 2007 at 2:00 pm

Now this is the sort of Segway that I would like to have, these are actually used by the guy and girls in the Ferrari factory. Just look at those racing style tyres! There are Ferrari logos in nice and neat places, while the body is a nice red finish that could only come from the Italian super car giant.

The Segway by Ferrari

Of this would be much better if the teams from F1 had little one lap race on these things before each grand prix, it might lighten then all up a bit.

The Segway by Ferrari

It makes you wonder what these high performance car companies will be producing next.

The Bumper Dumper

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Funny, Gadgets, Motor by david on the October 22nd, 2007 at 6:00 am

There is nothing worse than being caught short while also being stuck out in the middle of nowhere. The only solution was to find a bush and hope that nobody sees you, which was until now.

This is the aptly named Bumper Dumper, and it is what it says it is. Mind you next time you see somebody sitting on the back bumper of the 4×4 you know what they are doing!

car wc

Features:

The Bumper Dumper Includes frame for2×2 hitch receiver and toilet seat
You can use a bag or a bucket - You now have the option to attach a sealable bucket underneath the toilet seat.
Most buckets with the circumference of a 5 gallon bucket easily slide into the attachment grooves underneath the frame.

The company states that the device will take up to 500 lbs but what it does not say is 500 lbs of what?

Priced at $68.95
