Amazon offers like 2 different giant SpongeBob SquarePants pillows and 1 Patrick Starfish pillow. (The prices are not bad so these might be super-great gifts for your kids/babies.)

These days, there’s no reason to ever “lose” your child, especially with the number of GPS tracking devices out there today.

I was doing more research for my Palm Pre’s GPS tracking system on Twitter and found out that AmberAlert has just launched its hand-sized GPS tracking system GPS 2G, specifically for tracking your kids.

It’s rather pricey at $379.99 for one of these devices and $9.99/month for the most basic tracking but I think this could be the best investment for your kids, especially if you are always working and have no time to look over your child.

Let me put it bluntly, if your child goes on missing or gets kidnapped, you will have lost someone very valuable in your life.

If you can afford it, I highly suggest you to get one of these as insurance for your kids.

On top of tracking, you can also set “safe” zones so you will be alerted if your kids go out of the safe zone. Another great feature is that you can also monitor how fast your teenager is driving their car right after they get their license.

I know this might cause some privacy issues with your growing kids but until they are legal age of 18, you are still the one in charge.

Here’s a simple advice for parents out there who are trying to motivate their kids to do things such as sports.

1. Do not “force” your children to do what you want them to do.

2. Make your kids “hungry” about things you want them to do.

3. Find a way to make your kids have “fun” on the things you want them to do.

4. Once they are having “fun”, make them stop even if they cry or whine. This will make them “hungry” the next time they do the same thing.

5. Wait a couple days and repeat steps 3 to 4.

I think part of parenting is “tricking” your kids to having a great time at whatever it is then not letting them do too much of it.

How do I know?

I have read hundreds of golf books on how to teach kids and have taught many kids before. Of course, that’s how you do it, by letting the kids have fun with a golf club but don’t let them get “burned out” by playing too much golf. Even professional golf, as I am one myself a pro golfer, requires that the golfer does not “burn” himself out. I am sure even Tiger Woods takes long breaks every once in awhile to refresh his mental state and get hungry again.

I hope that helps and this can also work on yourself too. If you find yourself struggling to focus on your work, make an excuse that you are sick and take at least one day off. That will freshen your mind and you will be 10 times more productive when you come back.

This is my Wall-E project that I am currently working on it is 150mm x 150mm x 160 high, it uses a pair of Mattracks for motive power and two robosapienV2 hip motors. It will be controlled by a BS2P40 stamp cpu and will have the following functions described below. I build robots quite prolific but my let down is programing but learning I have a friend at Robocommunity GWjax who is programing it for me, From this I hope to learn how this program is put together and eventually program myself. We are in the progress of designing the H-bridge for the motors using the L298 chip, The head is finished apart from his adorable eyebrows maybe Nitinol wire or Muscle flexand pan/tilt has been run.

Even if you don’t have back-door access to your nearest ultrasound lab, you can, in fact, take ultrasound snapshots of your baby every week (or even every minute!) with one of these awesome DIY cellphone USB ultrasound system. Okay, I admit, it looks more like a vibrator here but lets now forget it is an ultrasound on your cellphone, this IS a great idea for cheapening future costs of taking ultrasound scans.

The power of a modern cell phone is changing how many things are done today. For example I recently heard that the once CPU taxing program Myst was now available for the iPhone. I think I had to upgrade my video card to play that game years ago. Thanks to a Microsoft grant some software was developed to display data from a USB Ultrasound device. Well, I just did a review of the top 5 Disney Toddler Beds over at Bed blog, check it out.

The Delta Childrens Products Pixar Cars Wooden Toddler Bed is my favorite, it features a half-rail to protect again unwanted falling during the night while the bed is very affordable at $89.99.

This bed meets JPMA and ASTM standards and fits standard “crib” mattresses.

The Disney Pixar Cars 3-in-1 Convertible Toddler Bed is an awesome “convertible” bed that can convert itself from a half-bed, full-bed, or even as a little sofa during the day. It’s versatile and this one is priced at $99.99. This one will be a good choice for older toddlers who may grow out of it, simply re-use it as a sofa then.

The Delta Enterprise Disney Pixar Cars Toddler Bed is probably the “cheaper” version of what we saw earlier, priced at $59.99. If you are on a budget, I think this is still a great car bed your toddler will love.

Here’s another cool Disney Car bed that features a “Piston Cup” footboard and slightly more stylish than the first one we covered. If I was a boy, I would definitely want this over the others because it actually resembles a real race car. At $129.99, it’s still not too bad if you consider the hugs and kisses you will receive back in return.

Here’s another cool Disney Car bed, except this one comes with a canopy so your kids can feel like they are at a racing booth. I do like this one too, makes the bed feel more cozy.

If you are like me, you’ve probably remember the days of playing Mario Cart right as it came out. I know playing in front of the TV is fun but I have a “hitch” that this RC Mario cart might be even more popular than its virtual brother.

These things are super tiny at 2″ and imported directly from Japan, meaning they are probably authentic.

They are available from Amazon for $34.99 each, let me get Mario and Luigi for now.

At least you won’t have to fall off literally like playing Mario Kart on the Wii.

Here’s an interesting method for teaching kids how to spell their own name before they turn 3 years old. I highly think it can be done, just got to work at it a little.

1. First and foremost, convince your strong-willed tot that the whole project was her idea. Master this, and you’ve got the parenting thing in the bag, don’t you?

2. This needs to be as routine as brushing teeth. It takes a bit of discipline. We would spell and hop my daughter’s name (more on that later) when she’d rise in the morning, at bedtime and any other time she showed an inclination.

3. NEVER push your child to do this project. At first she’ll be confused, but after watching daddy do it a few times, she’ll want to get in on the action, too. Remember, this project is a game and should be sold like one to the unsuspecting tot. We don’t want them to hate letters before they can even read!
