Here at Zedomax.com, we have started a new “imports” feature, we will be featuring one cool import car per day to add to your daily dose of tech.
Today, we’ve got the 2003 Mazda Protege sleeper car, souped up with an aftermarket turbo, polished ports, and all the other goodies to make your head turn when you race this little orange beast.
Head on over to RideYourPimp for more mind-boggling mods on this Protege.
And oh yeah, it’s almost “Ho
Here’s an interesting story about a 15-year old teen who kept trading his old cellphone with dirtbikes on Craigslist, eventually turning his initial cellphone into a Porsche!
Ortiz got “an old cell phone” from a friend, as reported by Jalopnik.com, and decided to go on Craigslist to try to barter it for a better phone. He managed to get an iPod Touch. This was the beginning of the chain…
– He traded the iPod Touch for a dirtbike
– He traded the dirtbike for another dirtbike
– He kept trading and upgrading dirtbike
For the modified import car of the day, here’s the seriously modified Scion TC.
You can see from taking a quick peek at the engine compartment, the headers have been swapped for bigger ones, perhaps a bigger turbo over stock, and everything all just looking nice and pretty.
I can clearly tell actually that turbo is not stock as the oil line is an aftermarket oil line.
Well, head over to RideYourPimp for more details!
For those of you lucky enough to drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, here’s some great ways to improve your Evo’s performance by adding an enhanced front bumper (that allows more better aerodynamics and looks cool) and $4,000 cylinder heads that could seriously boost your horsepower levels.
The cylinder head mod can easily boost your standard 280HP to 360+ HP levels.
One of my all-time favorite import car is the 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse, I used to own TWO of them and even put turbos in them myself (on non-turbo versions). It was actually illegal for me to put that turbo in but I did anyway and there was no way cops could find out unless they knew something about imports.
Back then, imports weren’t so “hot” like these days, they were just getting started. I remember when the movie Fast and Furious came out couple years later and they featured this very 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Anyhow, if you want to mod your 98 M
Timing belt failure can be one of the worst things that can happen to your car. Usually, they will wear out within 3-5 years, depending on the conditions and whether of your local environment.
Also, timing belt replacement can be pretty costly, last time mine cost around $2000, mostly because they might have to dig into your car a bit.
For those of you who have some good knowledge of auto repair, you might want to learn to change your car’s timer (and water pump).
And to those newbies who don’t know nothing about cars, I would say to stay far away
For those of you who wanted to build something fast and capable of holding three passengers, here’s a really cool way to mix a motorcycle and passenger seats, build a super bike car!
Then came the sidecar chassis, also all in aluminium. Hubs and brakes come from a VW Golf GTI, the wheels are from an Audi 80. The tension of the chain is automatically adjusted by an eccentric system installed on the swingarm axle. Shocks absorbers are Fournales air system, especially manufactured for this machine.
You gotta love this beautifully designed “carbon” baby cradle which is very light yet durable.
The carbon cradle is a marriage between high-tech material and craftsmanship. It is a unique basket work in carbon strapped with leather and a cosy cotton interior. Softness, lightness and robustness come together. Like a protective cocoon, the carbon cradle remembers the traditional Moses basket respecting its identity. This cradle is ideal for babies under six months and its light weight of only three kilos is a relief for parents.
