DIY - How to Make a Chapstick LED Flashlight!

Here’s a fun DIY on how to make a chapstick LED flashlight.  It’s pretty simple to do but a great idea.  Maybe Chapstick companies will pick up on this and make them as promotion materials.

This is an instructable on how to make a flashlight out of a ChapStick tube. After reading up on multiple LED instructables I thought it would be neat to make an original design that had not been done before. Since button cell batteries can be expensive, I went with an A23 (12V) battery that cost less than $2.00 for two.

Here’s a cool Mood Lamp Aquarium that can hold real jelly fishes. (This one comes with fake ones though)

I like the fact that you can actually get these sting-beasts in your bedroom without costing you an arm and a leg.

Watch these beautiful and realistic Jellyfish glide around this lamp, as it sets the scene perfectly in your home, or at work. The tank holds three jellyfish, which swim around the tank in the gentle current. At the top of the tank are siz bright coloured LED’s which set the mood! You can set the unit to ether cycle colours, or pause on the colour of your choice!

Solar Powered Fairy LED Lights!

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Design, Earth, Entertainment, Gadgets, Household, Solar, lights by max on the July 14th, 2008 at 6:37 pm

Solar Powered Fairy LED Lights!

Okay, here’s a cool set of solar powered fairy LED lights you can use anywhere including your exisiting outdoor umbrella bench.

The idea of hanging twinkly lights around the garden is a great one. Unfortunately regular fairy lights are liable to short-circuit the second you unfurl the mains lead extension. Not so our hassle-free Solar Powered Fairy Lights.

The clue’s in the name because these magical lights are powered by one of the hottest stars in the universe. No, not Jessica Alba (although that would be good). We’re talking about the sun. So as well as being eco-friendly, you won’t have to run cables out the back door or risk electrocuting your guests come nightfall.

DIY - How to Make an MP3 Lamp!

Posted in Art, Audio, Consumer, Cool, Design, DoItYourself!, Educational, Entertainment, Gadgets, HOWTO, Projects, lights, mp3 by max on the July 8th, 2008 at 11:08 pm

DIY - How to Make an MP3 Lamp!

You know, MP3 lamps are great since they integrate MP3 files, sound, and lamp all into one!

Here’s how to make your very own MP3 lamp.

It all started on moving day July first au eight. While helping my sister move, I spotted a discarded Ikea TerTial. Turns out the switch was broken, that made me happy, I hate those twist switches and I will get to mount a switch of my choice. But I wanted to do more, then came the idea of adding a set of speakers to it.
