Special Coating makes your Gadgets and Cellphones Waterproof!

WOw, here’s some new coating technology that’s going to be available soon to protect all your gadgets from water.
Of course, most of the time, your gadget will do fine even after water-submersion, but this coat pretty much makes your gadget water-resistant for hours!
I am not going to explain it, it’s probably better if you watched the video here.
Golden Shellback coating has an excellent ability to repel oils, synthetic fluids, hazardous materials, dust, dirt and water based solutions. Low surface tension values, such as water and oils will bead and drain freely from coated surfaces. The process produces a uniform, continuous, near hermetic coating that resists rain and humidity. Electronics casually exposed to water continue to work even after exposure. The coating is readily applied and not generally considered to be removable. Repairs are made using abrasive methods.
Styrofoam Homes could be the future!

It looks like styrofoam could be used for making future homes as they provide a flexible enough structure to hold up against earthquakes while being strong enough to encase a dome.
Heck, I would want one too so long as peeping Tom’s don’t live in my neighborhood.
Made with 7-inch-thick 100% expanded polystyrene foam modules, the company says that they don’t have the maintenance problems of wood or metal structures, and they are “highly resistant” to earthquakes, fires, and typhoons. Still, the 480 domes at Aso Farm Land resort village in Kyushu look like a suburban community on Mos Eisley’s outskirts or a world from Myst.

Video of A380 Airplane Taking Off
Here’s a cool video of the A380 taking off. (See this post for what an A380 looks like inside)
I can’t wait to get a seat in one of these airplanes.
The cam feed can be shown on the seat-back displays and gives you an almost Superman-like view of the aircraft from 79-feet up at the top of the tail. It’s pretty amazing watching the behemoth aircraft surge slowly down the runway and into the air… and there’s another vid, showing it landing in to SFO as part of the recent Emirates tour.
T-Mobile 3G Mobile Internet now available for Las Vegas!

T-Mobile 3G is now available in Las Vegas as of this morning. The good news is that gamblers will now be able to call home for more money. The bad news is that there’s probably going to be more losers here.
The 1700MHz AWS 3G network went live for phones that can hit the UMTS 3G data stream, and if your phone is one of those, you may want to look for the pretty little icon and start doing some Intertron browsing.
Delta to Offer Full In-Flight WiFi!

Delta is finalizing their decision on offering full in-flight wi-fi for everyone on dometic flights by middle of next year. Go Delta! Now, I can travel and get some blogging done while flying. THAT is cool.
ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines Inc. said Tuesday that it would offer broadband wireless Internet access on its entire domestic mainline fleet by the middle of next year.
The airline said Wi-Fi service would be offered for a fee to customers traveling throughout the continental United States.
Delta is partnering with Aircell, an airborne communications provider, to install the network on Delta’s domestic fleet of more than 330 aircraft.
The system will allow Delta customers traveling with Wi-Fi enabled devices — like laptops, smartphones and hand-held devices — to access the Internet while in flight.
A flat fee of $9.95 will be charged on flights of three hours or less, and $12.95 on flights of more than three hours.

Travelmate Portable Fireplace

Here’s a cool innovation, a portable fireplace called Travelmate you can take anywhere with you.
The coolest thing about this porta-fire is the fact that you can place the fireplace in the middle of your livingroom instead of stuck at a corner permanently.
travelmate portable fireplace by conmoto is made of black powder-coated steel and glass with adjustable steel fuel-holder, burns on bio-ethanol liquid fuel. liquid fuel not included
the traveling fire, the technology of smokeless fire combined with a weather resistant powder coating offers one thing in particular: releasing the fire from being in a fixed place in the home.
travelmate makes it possible to set up an individual, full-value fireplace and source of heat that really sets the mood, with no complications and wherever you want it, on the carpet, on the dining table, nest to the sofa, on the terrace, or in the garden, now the atmosphere of the fireside can be enjoyed anywhere.
the formal design as a stylized suitcase unmistakably conveys the notion that this is an item not bound to any fixed location. a cheerful fire blazing in the unit completes the concept of a fireplace that really wants to be free of its shackles. the glass pane, with is held on with magnets, is only removed in order to light the fire. once the glass pane has been replaced, the fuel tank can be opened and closed, using the stainless steel slide at the front of the fireplace, thereby allowing the flames to be regulated from the outside. now the glass pane once again the fire.
Dish Network to bring 1080p HD Broadcast!

No longer will you have to remain comcastic with Comcast’s monopolized cable service as the Dish Network is bringing you 1080p HD Broadcast.
Satellite TV provider DISH Network today became the first known TV broadcaster to put out video in a full 1080p (1920×1080 progressive) resolution. Starting with an August 1st Video On Demand option for the movie I Am Legend, DISH says it will start offering 1080p whenever the content is available rather than the lower-resolution 1080i (interlaced) or 720p HD normally aired on DISH and other TV services. Using VOD effectively gives the image quality of Blu-ray but at a lower price than renting a disc, the satellite firm claims.
Martin Jetpack

Yey, the Martin Jetpack is out. It looks like a lot of fun, maybe even more so than hang gliding.
Little is known about the capabilities of this flying machine, though sources familiar with its design say it can fly 100 times longer than previous jetpacks. Historically, 26 seconds has been the endurance of previous technology. This being the case, the Martin Jetpack could potentially be able to fly for as much as 40 minutes at a time on a single tank of gas.
