North Oaks, Minnesota tells Google Maps to Fu** off!

Uh oh… It looks like Google Maps Street View is invading privacy of private lands. Although most people probably won’t care that much but how did Google Maps get pictures of private lands in the first place?

Here’s underwear made for pilots so they can go pee while flying. I guess there has been cases in the past where pilots would crash due to their inability to flush themselves while in the air.
Think of how much each jet plane costs, like $30 million!
This little stupid underwear could possibly let me pay less taxes. Or at least see that tax money goes to education and poverty instead of jet planes.
The Advanced Mission Extender Device (”AMXD“) is made by a small firm out of Milton, Vermont. It uses “special underwear equipped with a hose (pictured, right) linked to a pump the size of a paperback book that drains urine into a collection bag,” the AP explains. “The men’s model uses a pouch; the women’s has something that resembles a sanitary napkin.” AMXD creator Mark Harvie patented the system back in ‘04.
FCC May Regulate Cellphone Early Termination Fees
Yes! As a owner of 5 cellphones in the last 2 years, I think it’s time that consumers start fighting back against stupid contract termination fees which I paid about 3-4 times while trying to find the fastest cellular internet service. (which ended up as Sprint. AT&T (Cingular), T-mobile, Verizon, they all suck.
Cell phone companies routinely charge customers $175 or more for quitting their service early. Under a proposal to the Federal Communications Commission, the wireless industry would give consumers the opportunity to cancel service without any penalty for up to 30 days after they sign a cell phone contract or until 10 days after they receive their first bill.
The proposal also would cap such fees and reduce them month by month over the course of a contract based on how long customers have left, according to people familiar with the offer speaking on condition of anonymity because the FCC has not accepted it. The plan would not abolish cancellation fees entirely.
World’s Largest College Solar Farm coming soon at Hefty 16 acres!

How much land is 16 acres? You could probably easily fit about 10 small houses in an acre so 16 acres is about the size of 1,600 small houses or 64 749.7028 meter squared for those of you in international countries.
Florida Gulf Coast University, a college opened in 1997 with a focus on the environment, was given $8.5 million by politicians to start a big solar farm of 16 acres on its campus.
The school’s focus is environmental sustainability and it has a special center dedicated to that purpose, but Shepard said using renewable energy on campus had been largely ignored.
“We were just focused on different things,” he said. “We need to practice what we preach and think about reducing our dependency on fossil fuels.”
During the 2008-2009 academic year, FGCU expects to spend more than $3.5 million on energy and uses an average of 1.4 megawatts per day.
The new solar farm, including the panels purchased with private donations, would generate 2 megawatts per day.
“The sun is free so there’s no risk the price will go up,” Fenton said. “The more solar we can do, the better.”

Bill Gates gives a customized Xbox to Korean President
![]()
Lol… Bill Gates gives the new Korean president a customized Xbox on his visit. I doubt he will play Xbox 360 but he can give it to his kids.
When Bill Gates met President Lee Myung-bak at Cheong Wa Dae on May 6, the Microsoft chairman came bearing a very special gift: a Microsoft Xbox video game console inlaid with traditional Korean mother-of-pearl. In fact 100 similar Xboxes are being prepared by a Korean artisan, intended as special VIP gifts from the Microsoft chief. The decoration is the handiwork of Kim Young-jun, the head of a manufacturing company called Gookbo. Microsoft was looking for a unique decoration representing traditional Korean beauty.

WOw, soon we will have Wolverines…
This Robotic Exoskeleton by Sarcos has been in development for many years, it still requires a tether but when it will be completely stand alone when it is released. I think the most interesting aspect will be the ability to step out of the exoskeleton and have it continue to perform some duties until you return.
Miniature “Insect” Robots for the Military!

Lol… BAE Systems is in development of “insect” robots to help soldiers fight in wars. While this does remind me of many cool sci-fi movies, I just can’t believe all my hard earned money will go to taxes then to this?!?
I am totally against war and even if internet was invented from wars, this isn’t the direction I expected. Well, at the least, it can help save some lives of soldiers who go to “future” wars.
The Micro Autonomous Systems and Technology (MAST) Collaborative Technology Alliance will research and develop advanced robotic equipment for use in urban environments and complex terrain, such as mountains and caves. The alliance will create an autonomous, multifunctional collection of miniature intelligence-gathering robots that can operate in places too inaccessible or dangerous for humans.
Passenger “moons” Speeding Camera

Over at UK, a passenger of the car “moons” speeding camera. Although this incident didn’t occur in any driving suspension as the car driver did not break any laws, it’s a good sign that people in general don’t like speeding cameras.
I propose to remove them for good as they really serve no purpose but make more money for the government.
I’ve actually gone through so many times when I tried to do emergency brakes while trying to avoid being catched on speeding camera. (when I could have leisurely gone through a yellow light)
In all, it is far more dangerous for drivers as they now have to keep track of the signal AND the speeding camera.
Sadly, in San Francisco, there are cameras everywhere but the good news is that, some of them are “fake” or “broken” ones. Do you see any “fake” cameras in your city?
The “mooning” man was snapped by the mobile camera as the black BMW X5 drove past on the A1171 Dudley Lane in Cramlington last month.
His behaviour has been labelled as “dangerous and offensive” by road safety campaigners.
Police may take action against the man for public order offences and not wearing a seat belt.
Officers have the registration of the car, which was not breaking the speed limit, and intend to contact its owner.
It is understood the driver will not face prosecution as no driving offence was being committed.
