3D technology is the big thing in entertainment at the moment, especially following the James Cameron movie “Avatar”. However, what is really going to be the big thing about this is 3D in the home, this means new technology being created and made into something usable.

This is what Sony and other electrical firms have been doing and so far, it looks very promising. However, this development from Sony is something completely on a different level, check it out and see what you think.

Hiding large screen TV’s and other stuff can sometimes be difficult and sometimes it might be better if there was another way. Well there is, why use a projector, imagine what the games would look like on that? This is a great little gadget that literally fits in the palm of your hand. However, in reality this is a projector, how cool is that? Naturally, this comes from Japan and so it may be a while before this ever gets to be out the country, but if does then this could be hit.

The Miseal projector is capable of projecting in SGVA and with a resolution of 800 x 600. It measure a tiny 70mm x 70mm x 70mm and has a weight of just 0.6 pounds. Once it is placed into the dock, there is a VGA connection, headphone jack and line out port.

Anyone who was born in the sixties or seventies will remember the old viewfinder it was in its day the PSP for youngsters, but time moves on and they disappear from the toy stores.

But now they are back not as a toy, but this time they return as a clocks and pretty cool they look too. They even have an old disc as the clock face, although I don’t suppose that you are able to choose which disc you have. These are handmade therefore; this is going to be reflected in the price.

Here’s a cool DIY on how to turn your rear projection TV (or DLPTV) into a 100-inch cinema screen by ripping the front of your TV and adding a bigger screen further away.

I do like it but I assume that the video quality will degrade when doing this so don’t blame me because everything gets bigger after this hack.

I bought Sony KDFE50A10 rear projection TV that has 50″ screen. After an year or so, I started to feel like the screen size is shrinking, really, ask any one who has a big screen TV. I wanted to buy a projector and have 100″ screen. But with more than $2500 already invested, the WAF (Wife Approval Factor) is zero. So, I have been thinking to convert this RPTV into a rear projector, but I couldn’t find any help on the net.

For the ultimate DLP TV, you might want to consider this Sanyo Z2000 HD Projector instead, capable of projecting 80-inches of viewing HD.

All said, for the price of this projector overseas, it’s a bargain. The only downsides are that you have to replace the lamp after so many hours, which is not inexpensive. But for a home theater–WOW! This would sure inspire me to stay home and watch movies–and save the 1800 yen it costs to watch them in Japan! On that note, purchasing this projector in Japan at the current going price of 268,000 yen in a store would be equivalent to watching 148 movies in a theater. While that sounds like a lot, it only translates to about 300 hours of video time, and upon asking, the lamp should last about 3,000 hours on the brightest setting, meaning that you have only covered 10% of your lamp by the time you finish watching the movie theater price equivalent in Japan. Not bad at all–especially when you add that you can use this to play your video game consoles as well. The Sanyo is also very cheap compared to similar models, providing amazing lens shifting for a similar price that others sell theirs for. I suggest you go pick one up if you’re a hardcore movie watcher or gamer!
