DIY Android WiFi Controlled RC Car!

Here’s a cool implementation of Android smartphone controlling an RC car via WiFi.  I know there’s a bunch of ways to use Arduino with Android but this is an example that there’s no limits to what you can do with an Android device and your brain.

The RC car (battery powered) is completely controlled by Flyport. The module manages Wi-Fi link to an Android Smartphone and it drives the servo motors (PWM signal). On the following video you see the Android phone internal accelerometers drive directly the RC Car.

How to Upgrade to iOS5 Today!

For those of you who want to upgrade to iOS5 today, you will need a developer account OR you can follow the directions here:

1. Download the iOS 5 IPSW file from the web (it’s easy and readily available. Just Google it and torrent it down). 2. Update your iPhone using iTunes. To do this, connect your iPhone to your computer, click on the Check for Update button with the Option (Mac) or Shift (PC) key pressed.
