Well, I guess there’s many uses for old projectors that can be used to make a bunch of things including a macro DSLR lens plus this iPod Nano projector.

This could be a great way to project your iPod Nano photos/videos onto a white wall for all your family to enjoy, an iPod Nano Projector made with an old slide projector!

Imagine if you took that digital camera that you dropped and broke the lens but it still reads memory cards and does photo slide shows on its little screen. If you take the backlight off the LCD you can project light through it so if you could fit it inside a cheap slide projector, you’d have a wall-sized digital photo frame.

Apple accessories are quite expensive, like a charger for the iPod this is going to set you back anything around the $100 mark, so why out that sort cash when you can easily make your own.

All you need is a container and a couple of rechargeable batteries, there are some other bits and pieces but you get the idea.

There is a kit available from Makers Shed at a cost of just $19.99.

Features – The charger circuitry and two AA batteries fit into an Altoids gum tin, and will run your iPod for hours, 2.5x more than you would get from a 9V USB charger! There appears to be a growing trend to mix jewellery and gadgets these days, in many cases it may just be the addition of some sparkling crystals to a gadget. Whereas at the other end of the scale the designer has created some eye catching jewellery that is also a gadget.

Most standard stylus pens won’t work with Apple’s capacitive screens, but this model seems to use the conductivity and flexibility of a snap fastener bound with dental floss to get the right feel and connection. I wanted a charger for my iPodTouch and the MintyBoost was definitely my first choice. I wanted to take it a bit further and make it not only rechargeable but also solar powered. The other issue is that the iPhone and iPodTouch have large batteries in them and will deplete the two AA batteries in the MintyBoost rather quickly so I wanted to increase the battery power as well. What I really wanted was a MightyMintyBoost!
