DSLR Hack – How to Make a 3D Stereoscope Photo/Video DSLR!

canon-7d-3d

Here’s a great idea for converting your DSLR camera into a 3D stereoscope photo/video DSLR.  This one is using a Canon 7D, which can shoot 1080P HD videos, I bet it’s an awfully cheap yet effective hack to bring your DSLR up to 3D world.

The 3-D photos would be easy to reproduce on any color printer as long as you have Photoshop or any software to size the prints at about 6 or 7 inches wide. When you shoot video (ideally 16 x 9 HD) with this device, you should be able to open the video file on your computer or iPad, size the image width to about six or seven inch

The Canon G12 was just announced today, bringing 720P HD (whereas Canon G11 didn’t).  Still, I would really love to see Canon bring more features like 1080P HD recording and manual focusing.  That would really make me jump on the wagon.

Still, this is a really great camera to get, perhaps I need to give them out when it’s available on the mar

DSLR Hack – How to Make a DIY DSLR Car Mount by Hacking Your Tripod!

dslr-car-mount-2

This year before I headed to CES 2010 I wanted to make sure my DSLR tripod could be used also as a steadicam by hacking one of the legs so I can use it as a handle.   Well, I failed doing that because this Manfrotto tripod is simply not going to be a steadicam by any means but recently I discovered another use for it, as a DSLR car mount.
