Solar powered wind chime
Having four solar panels on it the Solar Powered Light Wind Chime, the solar power is for the LED light which is in the specially textured glass sphere which changes colors every seven seconds, there are second separate colors too and it is the sphere that actually strikes the chimes to make the nice sound that you hear when the wind blows.

This is a really nice and gentle gadget that can give light and play a tune at the same time. The only problem is that these solar powered lights is that the batteries do not hold a charge for very long, if the weather is dull, the the charge is very small indeed. Good idea though.
Priced at $39.95.

Maker Faire 2007 - Biological Containment Art - Junior’s Returns
Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode

Check out this cool biological containment art from Philip Ross. It’s a hydroponic garden which allow just enough light using LEDs for the plants to survive but do not grow bigger. Very interesting. This might be good for saving our planet by controlling light plants receive and thus use less energy if we are ever in a closed environment due to wars and what not. (not that i’d want that happen… impeach Bush!!!)
It’s a chair but not as we know it
At first glance this contraption looks slightly rude, in what way I am not completely sure, but having read about the Solar System Chair it appears to be the cutting edge design for furniture, even though it does look somewhat uncomfortable.

The solar system part of this chair has nothing to do with technology of gadgetry but in fact if you study it closer, the red balls represent the planets rotating around the sun, I think!
Whatever the design purpose it is certainly eye catchingly brilliant, made from bright stainless steel tubing, and the red balls, which act as cushioning, it is defiantly a cool design, but somehow I don’t think that I would like to be sitting on that all day long.
At a price of only £99 ($200) it does appear to be good value.
