Make Money Online DIY - How to Make More Money with Adsense and Chitika Optimization using my Heat Map!

Well, it’s not that often I tell my readers/newcomers about my money making secrets but here’s a heat map that I’ve created to maximize income from my blogs.
Now, this is a proven heat map for making the “most” money online with blogs.
It’s a rather “in-your-face” type of advertising where you force your visitors to really read your Adsense or Chitika ads.
Why do I do this type of “before-content” advertising?
Because it gives you the most bang for your buck. Of course, if you have a million dollars of funding and you are simply trying to promote your brand, you could go without advertising. But for people like me who depend on Adsense and Chitika to pay rent, it’s crucial that money keeps rolling in the bank, otherwise this site wouldn’t be paid for and there would be no more websites.
If you think it’s too much advertising, think of it this way. (Provided you live in the U.S.,) Can you tell me how many full 20-second advertisements you see on every TV show?
Yes, probably 3 or 4 and you don’t mind it because you need to keep watching the TV show.
It’s the same thing in blogging and you need to really force ads down the readers throat per say. It’s not the most nice way to make money, but heck, sometimes you gotta do what needs to be done.
Anyway, I hope this heat map helps you make more money online as I have worked on this for last 5-6 months or so optimizing it. (Yes, I did the analysis and optimization for you so all you have to do is follow it.)
Now, please don’t complain there’s too many ads on this site unless you would like to pay for my rent and credit card bills.

DIY - How to Use your Laptop Computer as a Teleprompter for Presentations!

You know those telepromopters that TV news reporters use to read their daily news? Well, here’s a simply way to make a teleprompter for any type of presentations. (This one is an example for a church but I don’t see any reasons why you wouldn’t use it outside god’s house.)
- Whatever you do…. no matter what…. and this is job #1 so pay attention…. always have a paper copy of your notes in your suit pocket. Allow me to repeat myself — Have paper backup of your talk. To sum up this point: Make sure you have your notes on paper, and easily accessible in case your computer dies.
- Write your talk, refine it and get it to the point where you would normally print it out as notes. In my case I work from a hybrid of a bullet point outline & written-out quotations.
- Enter those notes, page by page into a power point presentation. Use huge font, as it is irrelevant how many slides/pages you use.
- Get a “wireless presenter” You plug a small receiver into any USB port, then hold the tiny clicker in your hand. My clicker is 1-1/2 inch across, 3-1/2 inches long and about 1/2 inch thick. It fits easily, and unobtrusively into your hand. No one will even notice it.
DIY - How to Paint your Concrete Floor with Epoxy Finish!

Here’s a really useful DIY for those of you with concrete floors. Basically this DIY shows you how to paint your concrete floor with epoxy finish.
Why is this good?
Well, you can give your concrete floors a new shiny finish with your favorite color without spending a bunch of money on new wood flooring or whatnot.
I did this to one of my former job offices, (well, I hired someone to do it) and it’s a really good solution for turning a warehouse into an office. (that’s what I did)
It sure beats spending more than $2000 on hardwood flooring.
If you have a garage that you park a vehicle in or use as a project work area then you probably keep wishing the floor looked a little better. Well with a few gallons of Epoxy Paint and a weekend your floor can look better then new.
DIY Hydroponocs - How to Make your own Hydroponics system!

Here’s a cool DIY hydroponics system you can make for growing all types of your favorite plants indoors.
This is a great way to keep your plants constantly filled with nutrients, now don’t burn your house down with lamps that are too powerful.
The air pump has become a staple component in most systems for various reasons. Moving water with air makes complete sense to me while solving several issues and being cheap, reliable and easily serviceable. Pump maintenance is algae free and time will tell just how reliable.
DIY Auto Hack - How To Make Your Own Natural Car Air Freshener!

Here’s a cool way you can make your car smell better while not having to spend more money.
It’s a DIY on how to make your own natural car air freshener out of old clothing and smelly perfumes you have.
Great idea, isn’t it? At times like this where U.S. economy is failing miserably (probably mostly due to miserable failure), we need to save every dollar we can or at least learn to re-use or re-make.
First you need some old fabric. Think about the clothes you no longer wear and towels and blankets you no longer use. If you’re not inclined to sewing, you can simply cut out the shape you want from the fabric. Cut out two of whatever shape you choose. Glue these shapes down to some cardboard (think cardboard from old shoe boxes, cereal boxes, etc.). You should make the cardboard the same shape and size as the fabric pieces. After this is done, you can decorate how you wish. Add sequin, other layers of fabric, paint, etc.
When you’re totally completed, soak the fabric with your favorite essential oil to your liking. These oils are incredibly strong, so be cautious at first.
Linux Server Hack - How to Limit Bandwidth with Linux, TC, and iproute2!

Remember I did a quick post on how to write a load-balancing script (or bandwidth throttling)?
Well, today I found another cool script for limiting bandwidth. I believe this one if more complicated but if you need it, it might be greatly helpful.
Here’s the code via Adamsinfo.com:
# Set some variables
#!/bin/bash
EXT_IFACE=”eth0″
INT_IFACE=”eth1″
TC=”tc”
UNITS=”kbit”
LINE=”10000″ #maximum ext link speed
LIMIT=”5000″ #maximum that we’ll allow

DIY - How to Make an Electric Go-Kart! (or is it Go-cart!)

I will probably never figure out the original name for Go-Karts but here’s a really cool DIY electric go-kart someone has made and you might want to refer it if you want to make your own in the near future.
This year, the Summer Engineering Workshop team was interested in making an electric go-kart. (Some kind of obsession with things you can ride…) But to make things more interesting, we decided to add a 110F ultracapacitor into the mix. Capacitors store electrical potential energy; much less than a battery, but you can charge and discharge them more quickly. Research into automotive applications of capacitors (in hybrids, for example) has led to development of ultracapacitors with increasing energy density and decreasing price.
Research is research. We were also interested in having some fun. So, we wanted to see if we could very simply integrate an ultracapacitor into a stylish electric go-kart. One of the simplest ways to do so is to use it exclusively to store energy recaptured from the kart as it brakes. Then, put this energy at the driver’s fingertips in the form of a power “assist,” or, less formally, boost! While it’s likely not the best solution for full-size autos, we wanted to make a tangible demonstration that the technology is closer to reality than many might think.
The site is very informative and even provides free circuit schematics for the electricity parts, I highly suggest you to check this one out.

iPod Hack - How to breath new life into your iPod using Rockbox!

If you have bought older generation of iPods, you are in luck as Rockbox 3.0 firmware was just released to the public.
What does it do? Basically it allows you to free yourself from iTunes and do a lot more with old equipment.
Since Apple has stopped developing the firmware for the older iPods (yes, they keep making new ones to make more money, how greedy!), this Rockbox provides users with alternative way to upgrade their old iPods.
I personally have the 40GB model of the iPod shown in the pic, I should be doing a short DIY write-up to tell you all how it went.
Looks like their site is down already but keep checkin’, it should be up later.
Rockbox’s developers say that the most important changes to the software won’t be particularly obvious to the average user. “The first players supported by Rockbox decoded MP3 files using a chip specifically for this purpose. This made things a lot simpler for Rockbox, but also limited the amount of formats supported to variants of MPEG audio. Newer players don’t use this approach, and as such, it was needed to expand Rockbox to do sound decoding in software on these players. This opens up the possibility of supporting a lot of different file formats, which is of course exactly what we did! “
