Refried Beans! The Man will sell it to you for generally $1.00 or more for maybe 12 oz of cooked beans, and the other 3 ounces some oils, salts, and other flavorings. I can get 1 lb of dried pinto beans for $0.49, and then after soaking and cooking, its really around 2 lbs of refried goodness. All bean, all pure, vegetarian, fat free, and no Hydrogenated fats in it.

Do you need a cool knife holder for all your sharp knives in your comfy kitchen?  Well, here’s a great way to make a Bamboo Knife holder using recycled 2-liter Pepsi bottle and bunch of bamboo sticks.

The greatest part about this knife holder is that it will automatically “flex” for any knives, regardless of its shape and size.

1. Drink the liquid in a two-liter bottle or take one from the recycling bin (make sure it’s clean and dry).
2. Remove the bottle’s label.
3. Using the utility knife, cut off the top of the bottle of so that it now measures 10 1/2” tall.
4. Fill the bottle’s bottom with about two cups of salt, sugar, or sand.
5. Start packing the bamboo skewers (sharp ends down) until the bottle is full and tight.
6. Gently stab your finest chef’s knives into the bamboo.

This Halloween season, bring an old computer back from the dead. Here’s all you need to turn that dusty old Mac Classic into a glowing, Halloween treat. It’s been months since I dumped Microsoft Outlook for GoogleDocs and I have to say, it’s rather nice to have all your important data online, retrievable by any computer with internet access rather than having to carry or send/receive any data.

Getting back to the point of this story is the fact that you can actually feed GoogleDocs spreadsheets stock market data simply using a syntax of code shown here:

Retrieving Current Stock Information

Pulling Historical Stock Data

=GoogleFinance("symbol", "attribute", "start_date", "end_date", "interval")

Yes, this is yet another example how Google is far superior to Microsoft, especially the fact that you can link up stuff from websites.

I’ve seen camera mounts for motorcycles on the front by the steering but here’s a really radical DIY that shows you how to make a “rear” camera mount for a motorcycle that will fit on your rear peg, where normally a passenger would put his/her foot down.

This mount should support most digital cameras and small camcorders. You have the flexibility to position the camera either front or rear-wards. (or even install two at once!)

Be sure to put a small piece of tape over the mic on your camera or the wind noise will overpower it. (I forgot the tape in my test run video)

Well, here’s a fun visualization for Microsoft(MSFT) and Yahoo(YHOO) stocks dropping. Well, bad economy isn’t something we can change right now, but hey, take it easy, sometimes things go down and they will go up eventually.

I am just glad I took my money out from the stock market about 6 months ago, it’s just too volatile for me, I will stick to blogging for now.
