I’ve been snooping around for some DIYs on YouTube and found this great Photography DIY on how to edit photos in Photoshop. I find out that it’s actually channel of Lilian, one of our bloggers on BagWhiz and Mattresszine.

Anyways, Lilian has some really great photography/Photoshop skills I didn’t know about, watch this video on how quickly/efficiently she processes/edits a photo.

I have been actually starting to study photography so this will help me a lot, definitely.

Sticky tape is one of those products that can be a bit of pain, but at the same time could also give the user a whole host of fun times, why? I have no idea as to the reasons why but is certainly has nothing to with finding the end of the tape when it has become stuck down.

Most homes are not built for all of our power requirements, we have one or two sockets together and yet we have devices that require more plugs than we have sockets, therefore there are wires all around hanging down and just making the place untidy.

The simplest way is to hide the wires, but this often means trouble when there is something wrong, it means that everything has to be pulled out. Anyone remember those prints that were around a while back that come with coloured pens for you to colour in yourself? Well this dress is from a designer from Holland, who clearly liked the idea of those sets and has come up with a cool idea for clothing.

The dress is made from a material that has been created by fashion designer Berber Soepboer and graphic designer Michiel Schuurman, it comes in black and white and yes, all the wearer has to do is colour in the gaps and bring the design to life. The good thing about this is that the user can pick their owner colours and style, something that is probably going to take a bit of time, but has to be worth in the end.

There have been murals and wallpapers over the years that depict all manner of sci-fi and fictional landscapes, but nothing can compare to this Hi-Res wallpaper. If you are looking for a new pen tablet for your photoshop work, Wacom Intuos4 Pen Tablet might not be a bad choice. It comes in small, medium, large, and extra large sizes. Depending on how big of a tablet you need, the Wacom Intuos4 Pen Tablets might be the perfect choice.

I did try out their previous versions and have to say these pen tablets are pretty good when it comes to quality and value for your money. Of course, there’s other great pen tablets out there at an extra arm and a leg but this probably is the best value.

There are a lot of dark and dingy places around that could do with a bit if brightening up; this would mean that they would be used by more people. Like Amsterdam in Holland which is not known for being a dark place, but they still come up with colourful ideas, like this Mood Wall.

This wall has had around 2,500 LED’s in a wall that measures around twenty four metres in length. The wall has been designed to interact with people as they walk through. The light respond to the movement and has been seen to improve people mood as they wander through, which cannot be a bad thing perhaps we will be seeing these in more places in the future.

One of the hardest things to learn when switching over to Wordpress is how to customize a theme. But thanks to ThemeTation’s How To Design A Wordpress Theme From Scratch walkthrough, you can learn some of the basics.

The how to guids ou through the steps to make the above blog theme. Then one you make it, you can go in and make changes to make it look like anything you want.

If you ever go to traditional rice wine bars in Korea, you will often notice that the walls are covered with newspapers. Well, here’s a similar idea for retro-fitting your recreational room (if you have one):

Who knew old letters apart from jogging those memory cells can also be used for home décor? Just check out this wallpaper made entirely from vintage letters! However if your letters are too personal to be displayed on walls then you can also use old newspapers, maps etc.

Here’s a really cool DIY that involves an Arduino microcontroller module, LEDs, and a motor to spin the freak out of the POV display. I really enjoy this except I can’t understand the language on the DIY Page.

Well, the most I enjoyed is the background music, don’t u agree?

DIY Wall-Sized Sunset made from Old PCs/Monitors!

A UK-based artist Sandy Smith creates an awesome “sunset” effects with use of old PCs and monitors. Not the most energy-efficient way to make such an art but then re-using the old PCs is a great way to make use of useless gadgets.

The resulting wall stretched accross the centre of the main room of the gallery, wall to wall and floor to ceiling, the rear of the computers facing the windows onto the street. A small doorway was built into the wall, only five and a half foot tall, and two foot wide. The monitors facing forwards showed flat colour, working over the wall to create a rough gradient representation of a classic sunset.

How to Graffiti your Website and Download an Image QUICK!

My blogger friend Jason Striegel from Hackszine sent this cool graffiti tool. It’s a webapp that let’s you spray paint any website. In my case, I had to pick Google.com and graffiti Zedomax.com with gold spray paint:

Now, this is a really fun thing to do as your finished artwork stays on the site and you can also download it.

If you are on a guest computer and without Photoshop, this could easily be a simply tool for writing stuff over website screenshots, of course all in great gravy graffiti spray cans w/o cops busting you. (There’s also some good rap music from Minneapolis group Atmosphere while you tag Google…)

Here’s a site that lets you crank out some graffiti any web site. I was one of the developers on the project, so I’m trying to spread it around to all my blogger friends. This was a promotion for the Minneapolis group Atmosphere, so you can tag the web while listening to some free tunes from their latest album.

DIY – How to build your own Tengu!

Above is a picture of Tengu, it’s basically a LED display that syncs to voice and music. You can buy one but I guess these guys over at Tinkerlog have made their own ‘DIY’ version Tangu.

This is a new version of my Tengu clone. This time on a printed circuit board (PCB). I have them produced by Olimex and I am very pleased with the quality. The PCB worked on the first try and has some minor issues only.

Flickr 3D Tiltviewer!

Wow, these guys know how to make use of Flickr API. Here’s a 3D Tiltviewer that let’s you hop different Flickr pictures in 3D!

TiltViewer allows you to browse Flickr’s most interesting images in a 3D space. Images are pulled from Flickr’s Interestingness list.

TiltViewer was built using Away3D, a branch of Papervision. Currently Away3D provides better handling of mouse events for nested 3D Objects. One limitation of Away3D is that there is no access to a 3D object’s sprite, so you can’t apply filter or alpha effects. I’m guessing that soon these features will be added to both engines.

Does a 3D UI give more functionality than the equivalent 2D interface? No, but its certainly a lot cooler! Part of the motivation to build this was to explore ways to make 3D interfaces simple and intuitive.

Being able to load Flickr images into a 3D engine was recently made possible when Flickr added crossdomain XMLs to it’s image servers. Thanks Flickr!

Well anyone who likes space invaders of course, after all nobody else would, or would they?

This is a design from Scandinavian designer Junk de Luxe and the aliens really have invaded because there are hundreds of them all around the top and working their way down. I wonder who will be the first to be seen wearing one of these?

Wow, these graphics are sick for toilets except if it’s a house with all guys, you’d never be putting the seat down so you never get to see the graphics. But then once you put it on, you might start putting that seat down.
