$400,000 Champagne Glasses!

You thought you “were” rich until you found out you couldn’t afford these $400K champagne glasses…
The champagne glasses were chiseled out of 8kg blocks of rock quartz crystal and took 5 jewelers 3 months to put together. The two glasses were designed by John Calleija who claims they are “the world’s most expensive champagne glasses.” We don’t doubt it as these two challises, otherwise known as “the real pimp cups”, are blinged-out with 1,700 white and pink diamonds totaling 19 carats, and platinum 18 carat white and rose gold.
Cure for Cancer Found by Injecting Cloned Immune Cells into Cancer Cells!
Yey, cure for cancer has been found! It will simply be matter of time before this procedure gets properly documented and used worldwide to cure people with cancer.
Scientists at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle concentrated on a type of immune system cell called a CD4+ T cell.
From a sample of the man’s white blood cells, they were able to select CD4+ T cells which had been specifically primed to attack a chemical found on the surface of melanoma cells.
These were then multiplied in the laboratory, and put back in their billions to see if they could mount an effective attack on the tumours.
Two months later, scans showed the tumours had disappeared, and after two years, the man remained disease-free. The new cells persisted in the body for months after the treatment.

World’s Smallest Laptop Stand/Cooler!

Check out this awesome lookin’ laptop stand/cooler. I have been looking for something like this but the great thing is that this laptop stand/cooler folds into a little box about the size of an adult’s hand.
This company also makes some other really cool lookin’ laptop stand/coolers.
cRadia(www.cradia.co.kr) introduced its portable notebook cooler ‘flex mini’ during Computex 2008, which can be used as a notebook stand to make your computing life a lot more comfortable.
World’s Strongest Man Made Tornado Rules!
Watch the vid and see the world’s strongest man made tornade in action!
This must be great way for scientists to discover ways to stop tornados too.
You may have seen this man-made wonder before, but Guinness World Records has now proclaimed it to be the world’s “strongest artificially generated tornado”. At 34.43-meters high, it uses over 140 separate jets to inject 28-tons of air into the courtyard, generating an artificial tornado. It’s not just for show, this also serves to eliminate smoke in the event of a fire according to the museum’s manager.
Roadrunner Supercomputer - The Fastest $133 Million computer in the World!

I’ve always been fond of supercomputers and I even did a college final project on supercomputers. (That’s 10 years ago..)
Here’s Roadrunner Supercomputer, based out of Los Alamos National Laboratory, supposedly a lot faster than the now-runner-up BlueGene from Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in Livermore, California.
Damn, I wish Google released how big their computers are, I bet it lists high on the list too.
The new machine is more than twice as fast as the previous fastest supercomputer, the I.B.M. BlueGene/L, which is based at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.
The new $133 million supercomputer, called Roadrunner in a reference to the state bird of New Mexico, was devised and built by engineers and scientists at I.B.M. and Los Alamos National Laboratory, based in Los Alamos, N.M. It will be used principally to solve classified military problems to ensure that the nation’s stockpile of nuclear weapons will continue to work correctly as they age. The Roadrunner will simulate the behavior of the weapons in the first fraction of a second during an explosion.
Evolta Robot Climbs 530 meters at Grand Canyon!

Evolta Robot, powered by 2 double A Panasonic batteries, climbs 530 meters up a rope at Grand Canyon.
Why is this cool?
Well it’s cool that a 17 centimeter tall can do so much with just 2 double A batteries plus it’s a great viral marketing for Panasonic batteries. Looks like Duracell battery and Energizer bunny have their paws full…
On May 24, a 17-centimeter tall, 130-gram Panasonic Evolta battery mascot robot scaled a 500-meter cliff at the Grand Canyon in a publicity stunt to showcase the endurance of the Evolta AA alkaline battery, which the Guinness Book of World Records recently recognized as the longest-lasting of its kind.
