Internet Marketing - Impressions versus Clicks

Posted in Business, money by max on the June 3rd, 2008 at 2:25 pm

Well, I did a short post about impressions versus clicks over at our biz blog, check it out as it might help you make more money online.

Getting lots of impressions can be great for earning some money with Adsense if you are getting over 100K impressions per day. Otherwise, those impressions do not convert to cash and you need to find a good ad position that will make your readers read the ads and click if it is interesting.

Tech’s 10 worst entry-level jobs

Posted in Business, Jobs, money by max on the May 21st, 2008 at 10:28 pm

Well, I am glad I never had to work at any of these 10 worst entry-level jobs.  The best thing to do is not have a job,  job just stands for “just over broke”.

Keep in mind that if you are looking for that very first job and people are telling you to get a job, fu** them and go blog like me. :p  (No bosses to tell you what to do, save earth and time by not driving to work)

Snap.com offering publisher revenues to bloggers and alike @ Web 2.0 Expo 2008 SF

I had a chance to stop by Snap’s booth AGAIN after seeing them AdTech. So, I finally got Brendon to talk to me about their new publisher program that pays you for using Snap.com on your site.

Btw, Snap.com is a free service that gives you a snapshot of the hyperlinked URL when you hover over it.
I had this on some of my “failed” social networking sites over here.

By using their publisher program (which I believe is by invitation only), you can get a share of their ad revenue from those snap shots.  Of course, you need some good quality content and minimum traffic of 250,000 views or more per month.

I will be e-mailing Brendon soon and try out the publisher program to see if I can get better results than I am with my other advertisers.  I will have another review in about a month to tell you how it worked so make sure to subscribe to Zedomax!

(Thanks again Brendon, for the explanation of your new program!)

Zedomax AdTech 2008 Coverage - CX Digital Media CPA Affiliate Programs

Posted in Advertising, Business, Business Ideas, Cool, Entrepreneurs, Make Money Online, Network, Shows, Web, money by max on the April 18th, 2008 at 2:22 am

VHi All,

This week we will be featuring review of affiliate programs from AdTech 2008 and try out 6 affiliate programs we hand pick and test them out over the next 2 months.

(AdTech is a tradeshow that covers the latest trends in online marketing, advertising, publishing, and social media.)

For the reviews, we actually went out and hand picked the smaller or less known affiliate companies among the bloggers, who provide better customer support while giving you better affiliate payouts.

We are also planning to gather about 200 bloggers over at Zedomax.Net to launch a big blog/affiliate network so stay tuned.

So far, we got about 50 bloggers so if you want to get in early, make sure to shoot us an e-mail at zedomax [at] gmail.com and benefit from our network traffic, SEO, and affiliate programs. (Basically in the long run, we will get better payouts from affiliate/advertising companies as a big network of blogs.)

At the end of all the video reviews, we will have a complete breakdown on who’s who of affiliate programs at AdTech 2008.

First up at bat is CX Digital Media.

Here’s a video interview with Winkie Lee, affiliate manager of CX Digital Media I met at the show:

CX Digital Media focuses on high payout CPA affiliate programs, 2% publisher referral commissions, and offer Net-15 terms. Basically, you can write blog posts about any products you like and make commission if someone signs up for the product. (CPA = Cost per Action)

I found they have pretty good products, here’s a screenshot on some of their offers:

Although I am not too keen on offers like Bingo and Poker, I do like offers like $28 for Wall Street Journal and $250 Gas Card, which can be both very useful for the readers of your blogs.

What I like about the dashboard after you sign up for CX Digital Media is that you have a 1-on-1 relationship with the Affiliate Manager. In my case, it’s Winkie Lee and I can IM her when I need help:

cx-2

I really like this as I have tried other big companies like CJ.com, and they don’t have this type of personal support. Besides, CJ.com is already too competitive and the payouts are low unless you are making a lot of money already.

Here’s some free/discount offers you can take advantage of and also help me make some money:

$99 for 1 year of Wall-Street Journal

Free $250 Gas Card for a little survey

Get a Free BLOW Energy Drink

You can sign up for a CX Digital Media affiliate program here.
(Make sure to write, “Winkie Lee” under the Notes section so Winkie will be your affiliate manager.)

By signing up through me and also joining Zedomax Network, you will be able to take advantage of even higher payouts later down the road.

There’s also a $750 bonus for any affiliates who can generate more than $7500 within the first 30 days of signing up.

More great affiliate program reviews coming soon so stay tuned!

Beer Stock Market - Internet User Venture Capital!

Posted in Advertising, Business, Business Ideas, Consumer, Cool, Educational, Entertainment, Entrepreneurs, Franchise, Web, WebApp, Wiki, money by max on the March 25th, 2008 at 10:44 pm

Beer Stock Market - Internet User Venture Capital!

Hi all,I’ve been busy building this “online stock” market over at SiteHoppin.com.

Go check it out as we just launched it…and I need some rest from 5 straight days of ridiculous coding…

SiteHoppin Beer Stocks are “internet stocks”, we call IUVC (Internet User Venture Capital), that allow you to buy into our new company without having to invest millions, unlike Venture Capital.

Basically, when you buy Beer Stocks, you become co-owners of SiteHoppin.com. We probably won’t let you run the site, but we are giving every internet user an opportunity to invest in one of the fastest growing web sites on the internet.

You can read more about it on our Beer Stocks FAQ.

PoliceChase.TV for sale!

Posted in Business, Web, money by max on the February 21st, 2008 at 9:58 am

logo

Alright, we are off to selling another social networking site for almost nothing. You can go bid for PoliceChase.TV here.

This is auction for sale of http://PoliceChase.TV.

PoliceChase.TV is a police chase video social networking site where users aggregate funny police chase videos from youtube, metacafe, etc…etc…

Almost 100% of traffic comes from search engines like Google and Yahoo for search terms, “police chase” and related keywords.

I need to get this site off my hand to someone who can keep it growing due to my time constraints with other sites like SiteHoppin.com.

As you can see, this site runs itself since I haven’t updated it for days. With some updates and user activity, PoliceChase.TV can grow very fast.

What’s StumbleUpon afraid of?

What’s StumbleUpon afraid of?3

In a recent encounter with StumbleUpon’s banning of 20 accounts in our network, we have conjured up a little bit of something we read in a book by Guy Kawasaki, “How to drive your competition crazy.” In the book, there’s an example of how Ben & Jerry’s turned a law-suit into an hilarious marketing victory.

Here’s our version on StumbleUpon’s latest diplomatic policies:

Do you think the Stumbleboy is afraid of two guys working in a rented apartment of 800 square feet?

Do you think the Stumbleboy is afraid he’s only going to make $61.3 million in profits instead of $61.8 million?

Do you think that maybe the Stumbleboy is afraid of the American Dream?

We only want to make the most fun site and let people of the internet make their choice on the internet, where guys like us can compete with guys like the Stumbleboy.

Next time you are surfing the web, uninstall that hideous looking 50 pixel StumbleUpon toolbar that takes up too much of your browser space and start using “extension-less” SiteHoppin. Because to tell you the truth, that’s what the Stumbleboy is really afraid of.

Hey, if you wanna help us and fight this bs, put this drunken button on your blog.  We will add you to our blogroll so you go up with us when our press release go out tomorrow.
