Floating restaurant table isn’t something new but the design looks awesome!

The bbq-donut® is the brainchild of German inventor and entrepreneur Sebastian Schmitt, and we think it has applications globally for everything from singles get-togethers, company getting-to-know-you events, a customer magnet at carnivals and festivals, waterside and beachside promotions and as a floating catering service.

Motive power to the bbq-donut® is supplied via a Torqeedo Travel 400 Electro-outboard motor giving it a top speed of around 4km/h – more than enough for gentle noiseless, pollution-free cruising with ten souls aboard.

Take several bbq-donuts® and they can be assembled into an array of configurations of different sizes and shapes, making it suitable for use as a VIP lounge on the beach. Offering the right mix of private boothes and opennessl this additional aspect to the bbq-donut® is perfect for promotion purposes.

The main floating body of the 3.6 meter diameter donut is constructed of Polyethylene (PE) with a very strong UV protection as well as an antistatic additive, and all-up, ready to go, it weighs in at around 500 kg, and is capable of carrying a payload of around 1000 kg. There’s an optional trailer for the rig, so it can be towed to different locations.

I was browsin’ over at ReadWriteWeb today and they had an interesting article on LinkedIn versus Facebook, of which one is better for business.

Well, in my opinion, it’d definitely be LinkIn as I haven’t seen anyone have their Facebook account on their business card but I have seen numerous LinkIn profiles.

To be honest, I use neither right now as they are simply more services to keep track of.  (Well I should at least be linked in…)

The more you use these services, the more spam you will have to deal with.  Same thing with Twitter, it’s all an over-marketed Web2.0 services you don’t need.  (For some reason, people are really takin’ on Twitter these days…)

You might not agree with me but yes, sometimes you do have to turn your cellphones off and rely on brick and mortar methods.  Otherwise, you will only be consumed by the enormous amount of information at today’s fast moving face.

The best way?  Make your own LinkedIn or Facebook and keep it PRIVATE!

Lol…yes maybe we ARE getting too serious here.

Let’s just forget that we even need those services.  Just stick with a big binder of business cards, much simpler to think about than all those usernames and passwords…

(You will understand me if your brain is stuck to the computer screen and your blackberry 24/7, helplessly not able to un-stick yourself while you want to…)

I ran into this nice gentleman, Chris, a co-founder of ThoughtFarmer.com. They provide IntraNet solutions to your company using easy to use web interfaces where your employees and employers can interact within the company w/o using traditional methods of communication such as e-mail and documents.

It’s sorta like a those Enterprise Wikis but the first thing I noticed about their Intranet platform is the quality graphics and simple design as shown here:

The funny thing that happened during the meeting was not the company itself but how they were marketing using some guerilla tactics. Chris showed me how they made this “fake company” all with employee badges and a welcome letter, sent to about 50 well known bloggers. I guess a lot of bloggers founded very creative and funny so they posted it about it such as ReadWriteWeb.

Anyways, you can check out how they did it all at their blog post over here. Next time you use this type of pyro marketing, you can thank me and Chris for it. They actually even paid $5,500 bucks to a marketing firm so get some free marketing tips over at their blog!

Well, I ran into this nice lady who explained how VisualCV works at the Web 2.0 Expo.

I think it’s a really good idea that they’ve actually made resume into a Web2.0ish interactive media.

It’s basically a free service that let’s you build resumes for yourself or even companies.

Instead of sending attachments, now you can simply point to your online resume as mine here:

The greatest part about this VisualCV is that it comes loaded with widgets and AJAX drag and drop technology, so you can easily build a cool looking resume in just 5 minutes. (provided you already have an offline resume to copy and paste like me)

Anyways, check it out as these guys also even let you embed YouTube videos into your resume, how cool is that?  Another great feature is that there’s a PDF converter so your new employers can download the resume as PDF in a snap.

Of course, some of you guys are good enough to create all this from scratch but you do also get good online visibility of your resume on the site itself as VisualCV grows.

Jeffrey Walker, President of Atlassian.com, explains the benefits and some bullet-points about running Enterprise Wikis over at Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco.

Atlassian, is btw, a company that specializes in Enterprise Wikis built for organizing large companies.

What is interesting to me is that these “wikis” have been replacing e-mails, documents, and all sorts of other technology of large companies.

Although it will still takes years before consumers can benefit from this technology, it’s good to learn from the guy behind one of the largest Enterprise Wiki companies.

I believe the technology is out there but we need more folks like Jeffrey who can integrate that into companies and also individuals.

CX Digital Media focuses on high payout CPA affiliate programs, 2% publisher referral commissions, and offer Net-15 terms. Basically, you can write blog posts about any products you like and make commission if someone signs up for the product. (CPA = Cost per Action)
