Camera Hack - How to Add an external battery to the Flash!

Here’s a short little camera hack for those of you having trouble with re-charging the flash by adding an external battery. It might be a hack but it will work if you are shooting photos in long sessions.
If you’ve been shooting with a flash for a while, I’m sure you had some battery problem or another at least once. Like when one of four batteries goes bad and quickly discharges the other three. Or when it’s cold and the batteries don’t hold their charge so well anymore. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have a more reliable source of power? One that virtually lasts for ever (well, not forever, but for a darn long time).
Re-Make - DIY Dead (Death) Star Art made from old Batteries!

Here’s a great use for re-making stuff, use old batteries to make a death (or dead) star!
Dead Star is made from residual battery at the end of their duty. Left to itself, the sculpture will slowly cool down since there is no longer electronic activity taking place in it. The hundreds of batteries were once used to power appliances before they finish their cycle in a recycle facility. Retrieve from death, they were assembled again in this whole structure.

M2E Kinetic Re-Charge Technology!

You’ve seen those new type of flashlights that will re-charge simply by “wacking” it. Now, here’s a company that will take that concept further so you can re-charge your batteries simply through motion.
If you take a bus or simply walk a lot on your way to work, this type of re-charging device will be great at re-charging your batteries for free. (at least you have to walk anyways)
With the M2E Power, this device is able to juice up your favorite devices on the go simply by relying on Faraday’s principal - “wherein energy is produced from the motion of a magnet passing through a coil”. Guess cell phones (and other portable electronics) that use this technology will be able to convert kinetic energy into talktime, or at least more battery power for you to enjoy your favorite MP3s and videos on it a little bit longer.
Sun Table for Outdoor Laptopping!

Need to work outdoors because you need some air? Don’t worry as the Sun Table will let you do that while your laptop is charged by the large solar panels embedded in the table.
The outdoor solar table lets you power up your laptop, via the Suns rays. The table is rather long, and would hold plenty of items, aside from your PC use. It is also water-resistant. The table is a neat idea, and would be great for those who spend a good deal of time on the internet.

Apple Hack - How to Replace the Cells in Your Apple Powerbook G3 Battery!

Here’s a cool apple hack on how to replace the cells in your Apple Powerbook G3 if your batteries keep running out of time.
I decided to get new replacement cells from Battery Space instead of surplus cells at a slightly better price elsewhere. There are nine 18650 Li Ion cells in each battery, so I ordered 18 of them at a cost of about $100 with solder tabs. When they arrived, I carefully followed the instructions here to disassemble the first battery. It looked identical to the one in the photos there as you can see below.

Now, you can officially charge your AA batteries with USB!
The high quality batteries (1450mAh) will power any device you need them for, then when the time comes take them out, pop off the caps and insert them into a USB port for quick easy charging. There is even a handy blue LED to show when the batteries are charging which turns off when they are fully charged. No more bulky chargers and unsafe cables all over the place. These are also environmentally friendly as they contain none of the harmful cadmium in Ni Cads and none of the resource waste from traditional alkaline batteries
