DIY Solar-powered Sound System!

Here’s a cool solar-powered sound system!
The sola-system’s parts were chosen in order to build a device that would be a one time buy. This means that after the original purchase the owner would not have to buy any other linked products (like batteries or adaptors) to use the speaker. This allows for much less waist economically and environmentally. The speaker system does not ever need new batteries, cords or disks, what you pay for is what you need.

I don’t know jack sh** about guitars but some of you might enjoy this as I did already.
This home built guitar pedal called “Fuzz Face” uses two 3AX31C germanium transistors while its onboard knobs control volume, bass, contour, fuzz, and include an internal trim pot to adjust the fuzz type. Pretty cool design and enclosure for this rockin’ device.
How to Graffiti your Website and Download an Image QUICK!
My blogger friend Jason Striegel from Hackszine sent this cool graffiti tool. It’s a webapp that let’s you spray paint any website. In my case, I had to pick Google.com and graffiti Zedomax.com with gold spray paint:

Now, this is a really fun thing to do as your finished artwork stays on the site and you can also download it.
If you are on a guest computer and without Photoshop, this could easily be a simply tool for writing stuff over website screenshots, of course all in great gravy graffiti spray cans w/o cops busting you. (There’s also some good rap music from Minneapolis group Atmosphere while you tag Google…)
Here’s a site that lets you crank out some graffiti any web site. I was one of the developers on the project, so I’m trying to spread it around to all my blogger friends. This was a promotion for the Minneapolis group Atmosphere, so you can tag the web while listening to some free tunes from their latest album.
Meccano Spykee Cell Robot with iPod/iPhone Dock and Speakers and control it with your iPhone!

Lol, this is a great gizmo. You can control the robot via Bluetooth, change music, or even move the robot. iPod-World is taking pre-orders of this item, I’d get one if it was available in the US. Even better, they might just send us a sample?
iPod World is taking pre-order for the Meccano Spyke Cell Robot, an amazing robot which has iPod/iPhone dock and stereo speakers. You control the robot and your iPod wirelessly by using your cell phone via Bluetooth technology to change tunes, move the robot, take picture and send them to your cell phone… It costs £159.99.
Crank MP3 from Japan!

Here’s a cool lookin’ MP3 you can crank to re-charge the battery. Crank for about 10 minutes and you get 50 minutes of playing power. Of course, the MP3 can also be re-charged via USB. Now, THIS is what iPod needs, ability to crank it up.
Sure, you can sit on the train and twiddle your crank but to save you from such embarrassing moments, this does allow for recharge via USB. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to get a full-charge but if you insist on cranking, it will take about 10 minutes at 2.5 rotations / second to give you the equivalent recharge of 50 minutes via USB.
DIY - How to build your own Tengu!

Above is a picture of Tengu, it’s basically a LED display that syncs to voice and music. You can buy one but I guess these guys over at Tinkerlog have made their own ‘DIY’ version Tangu.
This is a new version of my Tengu clone. This time on a printed circuit board (PCB). I have them produced by Olimex and I am very pleased with the quality. The PCB worked on the first try and has some minor issues only.

DIY - Robotic Yellow Drum Machine plays Drums!

Wow, this has to be one of the cooler DIY robots I’ve seen in a long time. Basically, it plays drums. Not real drums, but it plays your household stuff like vases as drums. Beautifully done, we give it an A+ for the creators. (Btw, we are not selling the blog for $1000, our readers say it’s too cheap! How much should we sell it for? j/k April FOOLS!)
Notice how the robot first plays on the object it finds (or is forced to find by the angry cameraman), plays a small beat, and records the beat it plays on it. Then this recorded beat is played again, and it starts to play on the object (an belt tracks and everything else it has),and also playing this sampled beat
