DIY - How to Make Sound Absorbing, Stackable Gobos!

If you are a musician, you will reap cash-savings benefits from making these stackable Gobos for your garage music studio.

Now, here’s how to make those pesky little sound-absorbing, stackable gobos!

Gobos are really useful things especially if you’re working in a sub-par recording environment (ie. your living room). So what exactly is a Gobo?

Baffle - A physical object that absorbs or otherwise reduces the volume of sound which passes through it, or is reflected by it.

Air Piano is Cool(er) as(than) Mac Air!

This might be the craziest piano every built, an air piano that plays sounds based on your “touchless” finger movements.

Well, think of it this way, what if all the previous famous pianists had their hands on this one?

The AirPiano is an innovative musical interface which allows playing and controlling software instruments simply by moving hands in the air.

Above the AirPiano is a virtual matrix of keys and faders, each assigned with MIDI messages and ready to be triggered. The length of a triggered note is equivalent to the time a hand
is placed on the corresponding virtual key.
This is also confirmed by LED feedback.

Recycled Record Case!

Here’s a cool recycled record case that you can store your good ol’ records in.

Designed with vintage record carrying cases in mind, with a new twist, this handmade box holds somewhere between thirty and forty seven-inch vinyl records - or whatever else you may want to store or take with you. Enjoy storing your records within a box made of records! What, no records to store you say? It would make a cool and truly unique purse as well.

Sega\'s new Japanese Robot for $500!

Here’s a funky robot that dances to the music from Japan.  You can even hook up your iPod to enjoy your music on the robot.

It’s a robot for pure recreation, I am not sure how it’d sell in the U.S. market yet.

The two-wheeled, dancing A.M.P. (Automated Music Personality or Ampbot) from Sega-Hasbro stands 2.4-feet tall and features a MP3 or iPod cradle on its back, stereo speakers, and the ability to follow and interact with its owner. There’s a 5-inch mid-range speaker in the chest and a pair of smaller tweeters in the shoulders for a total output of 12 watts. Osamu Takeuchi of Sega Toys says, “The owner can also enjoy being chased around the house by the robot.
