Erector - Spy on your own home!

Erector - Spy on your own home!

Here’s a cool spy gadget you can get which comes with built-in webcam and MP3 plus the ability to spy on your family. Well…not exactly spying but you can use it security I guess… Preorder one at Amazon.

Nikko and Erector just launched the Spykee Spy Robot, a Johnny-5-esque little fellow that recharges itself and includes a webcam and MP3 player all in a clever little package.

It costs about $299 and let’s you watch your family remotely, ensuring that your domicile will be safe from robo-phobic burglers. It reacts to motion so when someone pops in for a visit the SpyKee can email their picture to you and then burn their face off with huge fiery lasers.

New use for old instruments

Posted in Audio, Consumer, Cool, Funny, mp3 by david on the September 22nd, 2007 at 10:00 am

Remember all of those old instruments that people have and never use, well as part of a design challenge in London, one of the entries was a guitar hack which turned the old instrument into a new iPod speaker system.

The guitar has been entered into the Deptford Design Market Challenge, and it looks both retro and cool at the same time.

Ipod Touch Unboxed

Posted in Audio, Consumer, Cool, Gadgets, mp3 by max on the September 15th, 2007 at 5:15 pm

Cool, check out this new iPod Touch, looks nice…

Ipod Touch Unboxed

Looks just like an iPhone to me…

Yeah, we know we’re running slightly behind on fooling around with a retail iPod touch, but we’ve finally got one here. You already saw our first impressions when we played with it at launch, but as the days have gone on, we’ve just become bewildered by a number of things, like: why does the screen look so different from the iPhone’s? (More on that later.) Why’d Apple switch back to the shiny, scratch-magnet rear casing? Why can you add contacts, but not calendar appointments to the touch? And what was their methodology in selecting apps to use on the touch and not on the iPhone? While we ponder these questions (and many more) check out the full unboxing and hands-on gallery. More to come.

Its great to see Apple using up all of those old iPod cases instead of just throwing them all away!

iDrink

Well OK then its not a “Real” iPod casing, but it’s a good idea for a imitation, bottle openers are beng made out of alost anything these days, now its Apple’s turn.
