Good news for Samsung Captivate users. The Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) is now available for AT&T’s Samsung Captivate which brings support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and fixes a number of bugs. The update contains a JIT compiler which lets one store applications on a removable memory card. The Android OS upgrade is not available for Verizon users as of now and AT&T users will get the upgrade over-the-air.
AT&T, through their Facebook account has announced that starting tomorrow, their variants of Galaxy S devices will be finally getting their Android 2.2 FroYo updates. This puts an end to delays of the much awaited Android OS updates, particularly the ones who have the Samsung Captivate.
