Live3D interesting but very creepy

Most computer users would have used Google Earth and in those areas where it is available (my house is not on there yet!) it gives you the chance to check out what your neighbours were doing, I say were, because you are actually looking at the neighbourhood of a year ago!

So what if you were able to look around and then get a live update that brings the images up to date, would that be interesting?

The Media and Machines Lab at the Washington University in St Louis are working on a project named Live3D; basically, it uses live webcam images and places over the images from Google Earth to produce a fantastic up to date image, supposedly!

Of course, as with Google Earth the area will need to covered by the Live webcam, the image is still going to be a still image and not a video, but who knows what around the corner!
