Can you think of how much water the world can save if every energy company such as PG&E here in the U.S. used these water leak spotters powered by a single 3V lithium battery?  Probably gigatons! – via keetsa

Here is something that should be useful for bathrooms in our homes. The toilet is known to be one of the causes for wasted water and the one which escalates our water bill. This could be due to leaks or some defect. But now, all you have to do is attach this device called the H2Orb from AquaOne Technologies.

Simply attach it directly to the water valve behind the toilet and when it spots a leak, it shuts off the water and alerts the user of the leak with an alarm and icon via the featured LCD screen. The whole system operates on a single 3V lithium coin cell battery.
