Montreal gets Bixi bikes
Bixi is the bike sharing scheme that uses technology to keep track of the bikes, they have a computer chip on board, are solar powered and of course are Wi-Fi enabled, although they are an average looking bike the shape and colour means that it would hard to steal one of these bikes and get away with it.
The bikes are fitted with LED lights to the front and rear, these save power but have been found to be brighter than a conventional bike light. Montreal is the first city to get this scheme where will it pop up next?
