If you got money and want to be one of the laziest people in the world, we highly suggest to get one of these nifty platform beds with 42-inch HDTV on the footing of the bed.  Heck, you might even want to hook up a Wii and start playing some golf in your bed.

This is a custom one off piece that was built for a very good client of mine. It is a variation of my original design plan for such a TV bed. The wood used throughout is Black Walnut and is stained in a Java colour. The scale of this particular bed cannot be justified by the photos. The mattress is a full king size with the box springs inside the side rails. The headboard stands at 7′ off the floor and is about 13′ across, and is mounted only to the wall. The night stands are built into the headboard and have no supports to the floor. The result is a headboard and night stands that be free floating. The footboard is where the good stuff is hidden. At only 7″ thick, it houses a 42″ flat panel LCD television, and a very quiet motorized lift. To get it this thin I used the new JVC ultra slim LT-42SL89 that is only 2.9″ at it’s thickest point. And the left night stand is where the electronic goodies are kept instead of a top drawer
