The shoe phone
Phones are just about everywhere these days, you cannot go anywhere without hearing someone talking on the phone. However, imagine you are in a restaurant having a nice meal and a phone rings, that is annoying in itself, but what makes this worse is when the person whose phone it is calmly takes off his shoe and begins talking into it.
This is what would happen if you found yourself to be in the same place as Australian inventor Dr. Paul Gardner-Stephen. He has installed a phone into the heel of his shoe and yes in order to answer it the shoe has to come off! The clever bit is that he has made it so that it is self charging; every time he walks, the battery gets charged.
