I intend to use a "lenz" type vertical shaft wind catcher. The wiring - as I read it from the instructions - needs to be converted from 3 phase to 2phase using the bridge rectifiers, to produce 12v DC. This output (12vDC) is then used to charge a battery bank of your choice. I haven't yet worked out how best to switch between "star"(3 red wires) and "delta"(6 red wires) formation but I will share my thoughts on how to do that when I have actually tried a couple of ideas. P.S. I am lucky enough to be able to get hold of plenty of these washing machines - currently have about a dozen and more where they came from - so I can try out any ideas anyone might have.
