Windows controls UK nuclear subs

by David Allen on Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

When Bae Systems Plc and The Royal Navy announced that, the entire fleet of nuclear powered and of course nuclear armed submarines, they must have expected a pat on the back. What they should have seen is everyone running for cover!

The programmes is known as the Submarine Command System Next Generation (SMCS NG) those involved are very pleased with the system so far, but I suppose that have not seen the blue screen of death yet or maybe they are still waiting for the system to start up. Of course, there won’t be anything like that happening, will there?
