The iBose Egg chair features rounded acoustical properties that make it the ultimate sound chamber.
This custom design features a Bose Companion 3 subwoofer and satellite speaker system which reproduces the mids and highs in the chair with THD < .001 (very clean).
A few inches above the listener’s head is a JBL OnTour portable speaker system sporting 1.5″ stereo speakers and an integrated amplifier. The OnTour helps simulate rear channels above the listener’s head for a vertical four-channel “surround sound.” Four Fusion 6.5″ midwoofers with crossovers vibrate the seat bottom and allow the listener to feel the vibration of the bass frequencies.
The Fusion Woofers feature a custom foam surround and are powered by an Onkyo home theater receiver. All three amplifiers are sourced by an Airport Express, allowing you to stream music to the chair over Ethernet or Wireless-G from any computer or laptop running iTunes.
Coupled with an Apple Powerbook and iTunes, your music library is at your fingertips in the iBose Egg.
