You will get a much cooler effect if you got a subwoofer, or a big speaker and attatch a little mirror to the speaker and point the laser onto the mirror and play some music with the speaker :)

Hi. Great idea. Here are two variations worth considering.

1. Use PVC instead of metal pipe (lighter, easier to work with).
2. No need to disassemble the stand to feed wires through. Instead, use a vaccuum cleaner hose to "suck" a light cotton pull string through the pipe, then tie the string to the wires and pull them through.

What is the power of the laser pointer you are using? It seems really bright.

Thanks,

- Dave

GREAT IDEA, DO U THINK MULTI COLORED LIGHTS SUCH AS RED AND WHITE ADD MORE EXCITEMENT TO A PLAIN ALL TIME GREEN ONE.
iF VARIABLE MOTOR IS USED TO VARY THE SPEED FROM TIME TO TIME THE PATTERN WUD CHANGE,
also glass reflector shaped in parabolic form create better discoing effect,
Am I right on this suggestion
Thanx

For twenty minutes of your time and such inexpensive material, what you have achieved there is fantastic. I look forward to seeing your advanced version of it.
