Wow, although this is a paid review, you gotta check out AlertBoot, which provides “Full-Disk Encryption” for your PC or laptop.
Basically, how it works is that you download some encryption software to your PC or laptop and it provides full disk encryption, meaning if you lose your PC or Laptop, you don’t have to worry about the data being stolen, as it has been encrypted.
Personally, I don’t use any encryption for my data, I simply make sure to not lose my PC or laptop in the first place but at about $12/month, this web-deployed security system sounds like it’s 10 years ahead of our time.
They even provide encryption for PDAs and smartphones!
Another great feature is that everything is web-deployed, meaning you don’t have to call your IT manage in the middle of the night if something goes wrong. Instead of hiring IT techs who do the encryption for you, this automated encryption software let’s you be in more control by using a 3rd party company such as AlertBoot.
Probably the best part is that they offer 24/7 tech support free of charge! That’s like having your own IT tech team that you don’t have to pay for. These guys are smart and I think it’s a matter of time before many companies start using this service.
