PoliceChase.TV for sale!

Posted in Business, Web, money by max on the February 21st, 2008 at 9:58 am

Alright, we are off to selling another social networking site for almost nothing. You can go bid for PoliceChase.TV here.

This is auction for sale of http://PoliceChase.TV.

PoliceChase.TV is a police chase video social networking site where users aggregate funny police chase videos from youtube, metacafe, etc…etc…

Almost 100% of traffic comes from search engines like Google and Yahoo for search terms, “police chase” and related keywords.

I need to get this site off my hand to someone who can keep it growing due to my time constraints with other sites like SiteHoppin.com.

As you can see, this site runs itself since I haven’t updated it for days. With some updates and user activity, PoliceChase.TV can grow very fast.

DIY iPhone HACK - Jailbreak that iPhone!

DIY iPhone HACK - Jailbreak that iPhone!

Yey, although there has been numerous Jailbreak HOWTOs for the iPhone since the birth of the “Safari-browsing” device, LifeHacker shows you a clear and easy method to jailbreak that iPhone. (Jailbreak is btw a aftermarket firmware/software for your iPhone. jic)

The screenshot app does work; I’m not entirely certain on this point, but I think it required the reinstallation of the BSD Subsystem. Your mileage may vary. That said, I think the 1.1.3 trade-off is worth it, and hopefully—if Apple puts together a reasonable system for downloading and installing applications once the SDK is released next month and apps don’t cost an arm and a leg—this is the last jailbreak you’ll ever need.

DIY Firefox HACK - HOWTO maximize your Firefox using Tab extensions!

Posted in Cool, DoItYourself!, Educational, Hack, WebApp by max on the February 20th, 2008 at 1:01 pm

Firefox Tab extensions

Check out this great blog post on how to maximize the use of your Firefox tabs. I personally use Tab Mix Plus on one of my (crappy) Vista computers and it helps Vista from crashing Firefox. (although it still crashes)

Every Firefox user spends a lot of time dealing with tabs. Thus, improving the tabs directly adds to the browsing experience. You can make them better, faster, beautiful and lot less ovewhelming. So here you go, 7 powerful addons to improve your tabbed browsing.

Microfiber fabric = electricity ???

Microfiber fabric = electricity ???

Wow, check out this Yahoo news that microfiber fabric might produce electricity. We might just be able to start generating electricity everytime we move a finger!

CHICAGO (Reuters) - U.S. scientists have developed a microfiber fabric that generates its own electricity, making enough current to recharge a cell phone or ensure that a small MP3 music player never runs out of power.

DIY Wii HACK - HOWTO Use Your Wii as a Media Center!

Posted in Cool, DoItYourself!, Games, Hack, wii by max on the February 20th, 2008 at 12:53 pm

Here’s a great hack where you can convert your Wii as Media Center!

First, make sure you’ve either installed or updated the Opera-based Wii browser so you’ve got the latest available web browser on your Wii (this is important, since older versions of the Wii browser won’t handle larger video streams as well). So unless you’ve got the latest Opera browser on your Wii, head to the Wii Shop channel, find, and download the browser (if this is the first time you’ve download it, it’ll cost you around $5, or 500 points in the Shopping channel).

Traffic Explosion with SiteHoppin

Posted in Computer, Google, Social Networking, Web, WebApp, Yahoo by max on the February 17th, 2008 at 11:10 pm

This post was guest-blogged by Adriaan from i am jack’s design. (Send your guest blog posts to guest@zedomax.com to get them published for free)

SiteHoppin’ is a new social bookmarking site, combining some of the popular features of sites like StumbleUpon or del.ici.ous, with a few unique twists.

At SiteHoppin’, users can discover new and interesting sites quickly and easily with the site’s simple interface. Sites are broken down into categories and by tags for even easier browsing of sites you might enjoy. In addition to browsing sites in the SiteHoppin’ system, users can also rate each one on a scale of 1 to 5 beers. The scores are tabulated and the highest rated sites appear on a special “Most Popular” page.

SiteHoppin’ is built on a heavily modified version of the popular wiki software MediaWiki and is also compatible with a variety of mobile browsers (so you can SiteHop from the comfort of your shiny new iPhone).

User Benefits While anyone can use SiteHoppin’ to hop around to different sites you’ll probably want to register for an account. When you make a free account at SiteHoppin’ you get access to features regular visitors do not. Registered users can bookmark their favorite sites and share them with their friends, leave site reviews for visitors to see and have SiteHoppin’ remember all of your SiteHops so that you never see the same site twice.

Site Owner Benefits If you run a website it’s definitely worth registering with SiteHoppin’ and submitting your site, blog or articles into the system. As a site gets more beer votes it will rise in popularity and lead to more traffic. This is another opportunity to cash in on the viral marking and social networking traffic explosion happening online today.

While it is new, SiteHoppin’ is still a unique and interesting player in the social bookmarking scene. Anyone interested in an easy and fun way to find new web sites or those of you looking for new ways to promote sites of your own should give SiteHoppin’ a try.

DIY HACK - HOWTO Hack StumbleUpon using StumbleBots!

Posted in Cool, DoItYourself!, Educational, Hack, Social Networking, Web, WebApp by max on the February 15th, 2008 at 9:19 am

Well, I have never used these methods before, but I hopped onto it the other day so I might as well share it with the world.

DIY HACK - HOWTO Hack StumbleUpon!

There are 2 stumblebot sites, stumblebot.com and stumblebot.net.

Stumblebot.com is actually a software they sell for like $147, it’s sorta like those Craigslist automators.

It looks like it’d work pretty good. But I wouldn’t pay for it, I think StumbleUpon itself is becoming a big scam where people are making a lot of money from it.

DIY HACK - HOWTO Hack StumbleUpon!2

The seconds site, I found while trying to sell my site on SitePoint. It seems like they listed this site right after I listed my sites. So, that’s how I found about these two.

I believe there’s even more sites out there where you can buy stumbles and reviews. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Anything that can be hacked will be hacked and you can only blame on the developers who didn’t think through everything beforehand. Anything that can not be hacked on the other hand, deserves a pat on the back. ;)

If you ever try these sites, let me know if they work. Not that I’d use it, I rather go SiteHoppin w/o installing a toolbar.

Oh yeah, I just found StumblePorn too.  I tried it but it’s way too slow and sucks…
