Drink at the right temperature

Posted in Chemistry, Consumer, Cool, Food, Funny, Gadgets by david on the November 30th, 2007 at 9:00 am

This is mug that will help you see when your beverage is still ok to drink; there is nothing to worry about when you get stuck on the phone etc.

on off mug

The mug changes colour with the temperature this uses a pigment that changes the colour of the surface it start at Off and finished at the On position, which should be the best way to drink, depending on how you like it, it may be the other way around!

Priced at $25.

The plate flipper tells it how it is!

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Gadgets by david on the November 30th, 2007 at 7:09 am

You know when your driving down the road minding your own business when suddenly you get the idiot who has to sit about a foot away from you bumper? Well one thing is that they should get earlier and then they wouldn’t be late for work or alternatively you can give then a message.

plate flipper

This is the plate flipper, and it can get message across, however you may find yourself getting into trouble with the other driver or possibly the police, especially if you use it when going through a speed trap!

The keyless keyboard

Posted in Business, Computer, Consumer, Cool, Entertainment, Funny, Gadgets by david on the November 29th, 2007 at 2:00 pm

There is something of a contradiction in terms with the above statement, but it is really useful and can help a lot of people to do more with their computers, which is great.

orbitouch

How does it work?

Each dome slides into one of 8 zones to type a character. The domes do not twist.
Either dome can slide first or move both at the same time
Domes slide toward the centre of their respective colour or character zones - not directly at the character.
Slide the right dome to the zone of the character you want to type; slide the left dome to the colour of that character.

orbi touch

Every orbiTouch® comes packaged with the following:

1 orbiTouch Keyless Keyboard
1 USB adapter
1 Character Guide
1 Read Me First Poster
1 Fast Start Kit CD

I bet this will take a bit of getting used to, but it would be interesting in seeing how people get on with it.

Priced at around $400.

Posted in Auto, Consumer, Cool, Entrepreneurs, Flying, Funny by david on the November 29th, 2007 at 12:00 pm

For those who don’t know an OPAV is an Optionally Piloted Air Vehicle, this version can be flown unmanned or with a pilot hovering around 15 feet above the ground on a cushion of air similar to that of a hovercraft.

vertipod

The company behind the VeriPod are called Air Buoyant they believe that this could be the Segway of the sky, although15 feet in the air is not technically right, but its close enough. These will be sold in kit form and state that it can be assembled over the weekend, all for around £10,000.

Nail cushion saves finger nails

Posted in Business Ideas, Household, money by david on the November 29th, 2007 at 10:00 am

There is nothing worse than bashing your finger with a hammer the pain is just simply second to none.

nail cushion

Which is why this Nail Cushion is such a brilliant idea, it’s a rubberised plate that has a nail holder cut into it, this makes it easier for the nail to be held by the device and not your fingers!

5ft tall robot, is this the end?

Posted in CPU, Computer, Cool, Funny, Household, Robots by david on the November 28th, 2007 at 2:00 pm

Could this robot that has been designed to be like a servant, become the terminator of the future, we have all seen the film! However at the moment the robot is being taught to handle delicate items without damaging them.

robot

The Twendy One robot is five feet tall and weighs 111 kg; there are four fingers on each hand, cameras for eyes and speaker for speech. It is able to take things out of the fridge, toast from a toaster and put it on a plate.

It will be available in 2015 and will cost between $100,000 and $200,000, so who wants one of these sitting in the kitchen?

The plasma nightlight

Posted in Chemistry, Consumer, Cool, Funny, Gadgets, Household by david on the November 28th, 2007 at 12:00 pm

This seems to be a very strange thing to have as a nightlight as I would have thought that it would be enough to give anyone let alone young children, some really bad nightmares.

plasma nightlights

Now if this were to be placed into the room of a teenager, then they would probably sleep like a log and not take any notice of it at all.

It is quite fascinating though because there was a time when plasma balls were really expensive, now you can buy these nightlight versions for only $9.99 with a lifespan of approximately four years.

CES 2008 Preview - Motorola to present its ‘MOTO Q9h’ aimed at Blackberry

Posted in Consumer, Cool, Gadgets, cell phones by max on the November 28th, 2007 at 12:02 am

Motorola to present its ‘MOTO Q9h’ aimed at Blackberry

Ooohhh, it looks like they are going to have a new Moto Q called Moto Q9h at 2008 CES. We will be there I think…as long as we have enough customers on EntreWiki…lol…

The only thing I am worried about with this phone is the Windows operating system. I’ve had such terrible experience with any phone that runs Windows Mobile that I’ve already switched to Blackberry, which I don’t like that much either but it’s faster.

You can check out all the CES 2008 Previews on Aving.Net.

Adopting qwerty keyboard and large display, the Q9h supports Quad-Band(GPRS/EDGE) functionality, video capture and playback at 30fps, and messaging via MMS, SMS, Instant Messaging and Windows Outlook Mobile.
