In conclusion, this code may be pretty ragged, but the concept is what is important and it should be enough to get you started. You obviously can’t do anything too intense with this. Can you get an arduino to talk to a cell phone (using the cell phone as a modem) to send data from the arduino via SMS?

Oh sure you can. You need to get a SMS modem, I think there’s a howto somewhere…
