Wake up to lightning
You could be forgiven of thinking that this is part of an old flash Gordon film, the black and white ones that the kids of today would think of as joke.
Back to the clock it is shaped in an arch which is where all of the action takes place. When the lightening alarm goes off, the arched tube which has a coil inside fills with electricity and gives off the lightening effect. There are sounds effects too, while all this is going on, an electrical buzzing sound is made, all of which should be enough to make anyone up.
