That’s pretty pimp but I don’t think I could pull it off just from watching the video.

Hi Guys, I see you have picked up on my video, :) I can answer a few questions for you.

The greenie is 5mw and at night as a pointer you can see the beam, when projecting you cant as it is moving so fast. If it were replaced by a 30mw who knows.

How wide a view do you want, I can easily cover tyhe side of my house with the projection from around 20ft.

I am working on a music operated one as we speak, I am also experimenting with a liquid sky with fog in the same sort of package.

Hope that helps.

Excellent tutorial! I made something similar to this but I never thought of having a speed controller. Maybe I will try that, but well done!

If you installed a tiny 3v red laser module (like one out of a laser level or cheap gun sight) inside the box, you could pretty much mount this thing anywhere using 3m pads. plus if the red was strong enough and lined up with the green it would make for a sweet yellow lasershow.

incorporate a cheap pulse/strobe circut to the red (like one out of a flashing led lighter or something) and it would surely be a unique ‘party in your pocket’

Hey, Rog - good to see your tutorial over here ! Taht is a REALLY nice piece of work you did ! It goes to show you that a little bit of ingenuity goes a long way ! I would love to find some motors such as those over here Stateside, but have had no luck as of yet :( The project box is the PERFECT size - I cannot believe how tiny you have made it ! A projecter like that really shows off the tremendous capabilities of a green laser - the intense beam, and the pointer you are using is a really nice one for it - I suppose if you wanted to, you could modify the box a LITTLE bit for a larger laser ? Like say, the Hulk ? Can you IMAGINE the beam coming out of that using a Hulk ? WOW !!! Anyways, GREAT work - The tutorial is mind boggling, you make it look soooo simple ! Keep up the great work, mate !

Great video! I was able to construct my own projector following your tutorial in just over 2 hours. After some minor adjustments, it works great! I tried it first with my 35mw Dragonlasers Viiper in a darkened warehouse and it was fantastic! Then I put in my 125mw Viiper, and it lit up the entire place brighter than the lighting does! Then I took it outside (in daylight) and tried it against a large wall. People stopped in their tracks as they looked in amazement! It is as if the lasers are more powerful with this little machine, and I made it myself, (with a little help, of course!)

My 35mw was a gift, one of the best I’ve ever received. The 125mw was perhaps the best $300 I have ever spent, even more so now that I have my very own projector!

Thank you Zedomax and thank you too, Dragonlasers!

Make it, sell it, patent the design… LOL

Do you think WL would like it if you used one of their lasers? They’d probably get angry at why didn’t give them credit and would have 50 bots spamming this place in no time ;D

Very nicely done rog, and always a pleasure to see another successful and genius laser project as such.

Thank you for sharing it;
DDL

I have all the gear to make one of these apart from the lazer.

It can be quite easy to do.

A thought:-

use 2 lazers 1 green and 1 red, you can make it mix the 2 colours.

In fact I am not going to say much else just at the moment, but if I was to win this “Dragon 95mW Viper Green Laser” I would put a video together and show some projects that you can do !

Hi all, I am glad I have sparked your interest, this is a fun but relativly simple project, the output of which has impressed everyone who has seen it in the flesh. I wish you luck with combining colours, I am always looking to improve my designs, watch this ( and other :) ) space.

@ Brian Gaut, don’t sit too near the back of the cinema, the image will be too big for the screen :)

y ai will still post also… but not at a rate of 100-200 a day… but would nt this be cool if you got a bunck of teh lazers… one of each color(red blue orange green and purple…) and made one of these for each and made each point at about the same spot so each one will be visiable but you get that cool rainbow affect…
