Surfboard with GPS and Two Way Radio
Now surfers are not renown for embracing technology, their very essence is to get away from it all. But surfing can be a very dangerous pastime, so to help the surfers out if they ever get into trouble; designer Marco Torres has put a small GPS and two way radio system into a surfboard.
The radio means that surfers can stay in touch with each other and possibly contact the coast guard or beach patrol should they get last or injured.
This is not so much a use of technology, rather a sort of back system for surfers should they ever need, good idea to.
