The lost game on iPod

Posted in Games, mp3 by david on the May 23rd, 2007 at 3:00 pm

For anyone who has watched the series lost, the opportunity to play a game based on it would be hard to miss up, playing the characters, doing it how it should be done etc, I am getting excited already.

lost

You will be playing Jack; I suppose that is not bad, I would prefer to be Mr. Eco! But he is dead already, so not much joy there then.

So what you do is go around looking after the wounded, make sure that the black smoke doesn’t get you and of course avoid the others like the plague.

You have a series of missions to complete over twenty seven chapters, so it would appear to be reasonable in length.

To control the game you use the control wheel, and the center button, is used for the action control, like controlling the weapons etc.

The iPod Lost game will cost you just $5 to buy and then download.

Pico Wi-Fi radio

Posted in Audio, mp3 by david on the May 23rd, 2007 at 2:00 pm

This neat little radio has the added bonus of having an integrated battery pack, so now you will not need to have your radio plugged into the mains in order to listen to your favorite music or radio station.

Pico Wi-Fi radio

You get a two line display for the info that you need, and the machine is able to stream up to 5,500 digital radio stations via the internet, broadband will be required, or alternately there is the choice of listening to your collection of MP3’s.

The music center is water proof, but only to the extent that a few splashes will not hurt it, if you leave it out in the rain then you are just asking for trouble. Cost for this is around $300.

Audio Pro Porto

Posted in Audio, mp3 by david on the May 23rd, 2007 at 1:00 pm

It seems that every day there is any iPod docking station with speakers etc, but this one is different to the rest, as the tall and slim design give the product a quality look and feel, the dock for the iPod is located in the top and the speakers are below, the design works because the maker states that they can still achieve a quality stereo sound even tough the speakers are so close together.

For portability the handle is located at the top as well, and there is a choice of two colors, a matt black and dusty red, the system is covered with a fake leather type material.

Unfortunately there is no launch date or any pricing information.

The big keyboard

Posted in Consumer, Educational by david on the May 23rd, 2007 at 12:00 pm

At last there is a big keyboard, with large keys that even the most short sighted person would not have trouble with.

The keyboard from Chester Creek Tech has designed this not just for people with bad eyesight, because when you work on the computer all day long, the letters on the keyboard actually begin to blend together anyhow, some evenings I think that I could do with that keyboard.

The keys are one inch square, and are available in the normal white on black or the colored kinder board, which has certain keys in different colors, like the vowels etc, these are used for learning purposes.

The prices of these keyboards are for the $79 Kinder board and $89 for the standard keyboard.

HPV - Human Powered Vehicle or Cool Bike we say

HPV

Wow, there’s so much stuff still to come from our Maker Faire 2007 coverage. It’s like a massive virus or a bomb that hasn’t released itself yet…

With all the cool bikes we’ve covered in the past, this is probably the coolest bike, well at least the most technological “lookin’”. I am not exactly sure where this bike is from, I think we’ve covered it before but… it’s cool~

There’s always large-scale molding DIY if you ever want to build one yourself.

Update:  Here’s the website for Human Powered Vehicle for it. (Thanks Joseph!)

Hanging out at Hackszine

Hackszine

While Garrett was working hard at the booth, I went around and made some friends like Jason Striegel from Hackszine. He’s a very friendly guy and we took some pictures together. The guy taking the picture on the left is also the author of Google Maps Hacks, cool…
