Nissan warns over intelligent keys

Posted in Auto, Motor by david on the May 25th, 2007 at 4:00 pm

Owners of the new Nissan Altima and Infiniti G35 sedan, are being warned by Nissan North America that they should be careful not to place their mobile phones within one inch of their intelligent keys, the problem is that in some cases by having the I Key and your mobile phone in your pocket or in a bag then there is the possibility that the data on the I Key may be wiped, which would be very handy when you out late at night.

nissan key

What happens is that the an incoming call can erase the memory on the I Key, the problem is that the are apparently unable to be reprogrammed, so once the memory has gone, the I Key is finished, now that is just no good at all, how much is a new Nissan Altima.

A Pirate USB Flash Drive

Posted in USB by david on the May 25th, 2007 at 3:00 pm

Get this fancy USB flash drive, it is an 8 GB memory capacity, with images of the film on sides, but the is not the connection that this has with the film, because when you put this into your computer you find all sort of promotional material from the film, which includes wallpapers etc.

usb flash

There are no details on price and availability yet, but as the film begins its promotional launch then I am sure that this little gem will be out there on the shelves.

The blackboard mug

Posted in Consumer, Funny by david on the May 25th, 2007 at 2:00 pm

Here’s one for everyone that remembers the old black board when they were at school, especially when the teacher used scratch his finger nails down it, just to get everyone’s attention.

chalk mug

The chalk mug is exactly what it says; you can write your messages on, pretty good for telling your work mates exactly what you think of them, when it is your turn to make the coffee.

The mug has a surface which you can easily write on, which can be easily cleaned too; there is also a complementary piece of chalk, which should get you started on all of those messages.

Yet another “i” device

Posted in Audio, mp3 by david on the May 25th, 2007 at 1:00 pm

The letter “i” has appeared so many times now days, that it is getting hard to think of words without it, anyway here is another, the iFreeplay, it is basically a headset with a docking port for an iPod shuffle.

ifreeplay

So what you have is a hands free device for the iPod shuffle, it is not looking that great, it be sleeker or finished off a bit better, but it works and I am sure that there are people out there who are just waiting for this device.

The principle is basically simple the shuffle, including the 2G version fit into the docking port on the left side, there is a slight problem with the volume and skip the channel etc, you will need to fiddle around with your ear and the iPod.

Monster® iFreePlay® Cordless Headphones for iPod® Shuffle

Exclusive Monster iDock™ port eliminates headphone cords and delivers great sound
iPod® Shuffle™ docks directly into headphones
Wrap-around design: no need for clips, armbands, or pockets
Easy access to all iPod® Shuffle™ controls
Folds for compact storage

But if you think that they are cool, they will cost you $50.

The big barbeque

Posted in Entertainment by david on the May 25th, 2007 at 12:00 pm

This is a barbeque with style, although it does actually look very similer to a coffin, but despite the looks this grill is some serious kit, it has more than six levels, which taper upwards, it uses wood to cook with, which is placed at the bottom, the heat and smoke rises through the levels, providing the smoked flavour that we all love.

bbq

For the real texas barbeque look and feel, the rugged looks and solid construction which only the Texans can do, the cost of which is around $500.

Biological Containment Art - Junior’s Returns

Biological Containment Art - Junior’s Returns2

Check out this cool biological containment art from Philip Ross. It’s a hydroponic garden which allow just enough light using LEDs for the plants to survive but do not grow bigger. Very interesting. This might be good for saving our planet by controlling light plants receive and thus use less energy if we are ever in a closed environment due to wars and what not. (not that i’d want that happen… impeach Bush!!!)

Maker Faire 2007 - The Soul Cycle

Soul Cycle 2

Check out this cool Soul Cycle! We saw a guy and a girl riding this through massive traffic throughout the Maker Faire. It was cool because we got some good music for free!
They were playing some good Bob Marley music, which is my favorite.  (awesome!)

I guess you can get this mod for your bike, cool…

Add the element of music to your next social ride with one of our amazing Soul Cycle mobile audio systems. There’s nothing like walking down your front steps to a glowing, inviting Soul Cycle, setting your iPod on the handlebar control deck, flipping a couple switches for lights and music, and riding off to the bumping bass of a Bob Marley track. All Rock The Bike Soul Cycles offer powerful bass, amazing ease of use, durability, and great styling!

We cut our teeth making Soul Cycles for San Francisco’s Critical Mass rides, and we’ve innovated some of the most powerful features in today’s exciting world of bicycle audio: handlebar mounted controls, backlit speakers, and streamlined looks. If you want to build the ultimate party bike, install your Soul Cycle system on an Xtracycle SUB. You’ll be able to carry a friend, bring the beer, chips, salsa, and the tunes!
