Special Tamagotchi Anniversary MP3.

Posted in Games, mp3 by david on the May 27th, 2007 at 3:00 pm

Remember those nice little Tamagotchi toys, the ones that were supposed to be interactive etc, well guess what? They are back, but before you start panicking, fortunately they have only come back as an MP3 player, specially issued to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the tamagotchi interactive toy.

But never to be thought of as copying, they have decided that in order to download your favorite tunes onto the MP3 all you need to do, is connect to a CD player or other audio source, and import it directly into the device.

You are able to store around 120 minutes of music, so it is pretty good, there are nineteen different types of characters and there are several games to play games on the LCD display.

Birds Micro Mixer DJ-4

Posted in Audio, mp3 by david on the May 27th, 2007 at 3:00 pm

Fancy doing a bit of mixing on using your iPod? Well now you can, with the bird Electron Micro Mixer DJ-4 Sports, I am not quite sure where the sports part comes in here, but that is the name.

ipod mixer

What you have here is a box with a couple of what can only be described as recycled guitar knobs, and an input and output for your iPod, once you have all of that you are ready to go.

There may be the possibility of the iPod not being the only source of music for this device, so you be able to use any mp3 device, which will open the market up to more consumers. Price is around $80.

Gameport takes gaming over the edge

Posted in Games, Online Games, USB by david on the May 27th, 2007 at 1:00 pm

The game port is not just another gaming consol, but something that moves the tradional ideas from basic to the extreme.

gameport

The game port can be connected to the computer via the USB port, and it will even transfer game ROM’s via the the SD slot.

As a little bonus, for all those who love to watch the TV, there is an A/V output built in. Sizewise it measures 3.5” x 5” x 1”, however once the system goes into full production it is expected to be smaller.

Drum Piano 1

Drum Piano 2

Wow, this drum piano is the coolest thing ever. Although you do miss the physical part of actually drummin’ on your equipment, this is a nifty device for those of you good with the piano but not with the drums. It looks like there are hydraulic actuators on it to control all the drum sticks. Anyways, this is cool…

On the site note, I have been slacking on posts lately. We had to move a lot of stuff out of our site which was slowing our site down. We will have them up and running again since we will be moving to a new server very soon~ :)

The easy way to search for Wireless networks

Posted in USB, Wireless by david on the May 26th, 2007 at 12:00 pm

Knowing where the hotspots are can be hard, especially if you are a stranger in town, and in some cases the larger cities are inundated with networks, which makes it difficult for a newcomer to find the right one.

wifi detective

But the Wi-Fi Detective from Startech.com, this job has become a little bit easier.

All you need to do is place the device into the USB port of your computer, and then search. But as the device has a LCD display on the front, it can show you the signal strength and some other basic information about the network, in fact all that you will require to know what network is what.

The Wi-Fi Detective also offers the following features and benefits:

Li-Polymer battery powered – can be recharged using a standard USB connection to a powered computer
Can locate 802.11b and 802.11g networks
LCD display indicates wireless signal strength, associated security protocols, operating channel and SSI
Light and compact: weighs only 30g (1.05 oz.) with dimensions of 91 x 28.5 x 14mm (3.6 x 1.12 x 0.55”)

Plug in laptop protection

Posted in Consumer, Wireless by david on the May 26th, 2007 at 10:00 am

The Yoggie Gatekeeper Pro, initially sounds like a cartoon from the sixties and seventies but it is not, in fact the little device it is said can possibly save your laptop.

yoggie

What it does is protect the computer from outside attacks, through the wireless network, this is becoming a serious problem here in the UK, where people are parking there cars in streets and then search for wireless networks, once they have been acquired then it is only a simple matter of loading some code and they are in, and then able to use the internet access to do all sorts of things like hacking and theft, but the worst thing of all is, where do you think the authorities are going to turn up?

The Yoggie Gatekeeper Pro, sells for £138.95 ($276).

Nanoprojector to fit in cell phone

Posted in Entertainment, Video by david on the May 26th, 2007 at 9:00 am

ExPlay is a company from Israel, they are showing off this great product, the nanoprojector is supposed to eventually be small enough to be placed into a cell phone, but at the moment it comes in a similar size to a PDA, so it can be carried around in your pocket.

nano

What the nanoprojector can do is exactly what you think it does, the device will project an image onto a surface such as a wall; so you can view images such as video from the cell phone which saves have to view the small screens that the cell phones have.

This can also be used in conjunction with PDA’s and iPods etc, so I may be possible to view whole movies in this manner.
