Thanks to Brookstone, there is a great solution that means you will never lose the remote control again, and it does not mean that you need to hang around your neck. The giant remote control as you can see from the image is slightly larger than the average device, it measures 11” x 5” x 1”, uses only two AA batteries and can be programmed with nearly 300 codes, so there is bound to a couple in that you can use.

My parents got the “BIG” remote for Christmas, and have since lost all the paperwork for said device. Can(will) anyone out there please give instructions on how to get the remote into “program” mode? They didn't need the instructions for the TV, as it automatically tuned into theirs. If I can get it into program mode, then we can just click away until the VCR -that's right,VCR- responds. I don't know the brand name of their VCR. I need some assistance please!?!?
