Χιόνι που κάνει σερφ με ένα ανταρτικό Snowbot
Έλεγχος έξω μερικά από τα δροσερά ανταρτικά αυτόνομα ηλιακά ρομπότ που αναπτύσσονται εδώ. Ανωτέρω είναι μια εικόνα ενός τύπου (ναι που κρατά ένα lap-top), χιόνι-κάνοντας σερφ σε περίπου 5mph…
Όχι πάρα πολύ κακοί στην ηλιακή δύναμη, δίνουμε τους αντίχειρες επάνω για αυτόν.
Ένα πρωί, παίρνοντας το περπάτημα πίσω από το ρομπότ και το σύρσιμο ενός ελκήθρου του εξοπλισμού για ποσοτικά τη δύναμη και τη συνοχή του καταχάματος χιονιού, συνειδητοποιήσαμε ποιοι ανόητοι ήμαστε άτομο-έλξη ο εξοπλισμός οι ίδιοι. Και, για εκείνο το θέμα, πόσο ανόητο ακόμα και να περπατήσει. Έτσι, γαντζώσαμε το έλκηθρο στο ρομπότ και πήγαμε για έναν γύρο. Το ρομπότ, βγάζει, μπορεί να μεταφέρει το βάρος του (σχεδόν 200 λίβρες.) σε ένα έλκηθρο και να το παρατηρήσει μετά βίας.
Αυτή η εικόνα ήταν άλλη γεννημένη από τον αυθορμητισμό, και όμως έχει γίνει των δημοφιλέστερων εικόνων από ολόκληρο το πρόγραμμα. Το χιόνι που κάνει σερφ πίσω από το ρομπότ δεν είναι πολύ συναρπαστικό εντούτοις ταξιδεύει μόνο σε έναν αργό ρυθμό περπατήματος.
