DIY - How to Make a Chapstick LED Flashlight!

Here’s a fun DIY on how to make a chapstick LED flashlight.  It’s pretty simple to do but a great idea.  Maybe Chapstick companies will pick up on this and make them as promotion materials.

This is an instructable on how to make a flashlight out of a ChapStick tube. After reading up on multiple LED instructables I thought it would be neat to make an original design that had not been done before. Since button cell batteries can be expensive, I went with an A23 (12V) battery that cost less than $2.00 for two.

DIY - How to convert a Disposable Camera into an Emergency Strobe Light

Here’s a cool hack that shows you how to turn your regular old Kodak disposable camera into an emergency strobe light.  The hack does require some soldering but not too much work for some cool effects.

This instructable involves modifying a device that operates on 300v DC, so I am NOT responsible if you injure or kill your self and/or any body else from any of your actions messing around this device. So be careful what you are doing, be safe and have fun!

DIY Steampunk Fan!

It seems like the social networking internet world “loves” steampunk stuff, here’s another steampunk fan!

(Ah gowwwd, please turn off that awful music!)

This is sort of a cross between an instructable and a slide show. I did take some pictures during the build of my fan, but not enough to be a complete walkthrough. Odds are, you won’t have the exact pieces that I used to make my fan anyway - so hopefully this will inspire you to see what you have available to make your own steampunk creation!

DIY - How to Make a Light Bulb Oil Lamp!

Here’s a great way to re-use your old light bulbs and turn them into oil lamps for your pleasures.  It does look dangerous though if you cracked the light bulb and the oil starts spilling out everywhere…  wait a minute, that’d cause some serious fires!

This instructable covers the entire process, from a new light bulb to a new lamp. It includes the hollowing out of the bulb. However, you’ll need to come up with your own base for the lamp.

DIY - How to Install a Central Vacuum System in your Home!

Well, if you want to save some bucks while installing a central vacuum system in your house, here’s a perfect DIY for it although I do not recommended it.

After several months of research, I installed a central vacuum system in my house during many nights and weekends from December 2004 through January 2005. It was a big project, but well worth the effort. This instructable is intended to give an idea of the scope of the project.
