De koele HOOFDmensen wordt opgeblazen - omhoog door de stomme overheid

Klik hier aan Mening op de Volledige Wijze van het Scherm
Boston gaat gek over ons koele HOOFDmens.
figures for being geeky) and they would have known it’s just an LED. My condolences go out to
Peter Berdvosky, who is an innocent art student. It’s a good thing the LEDs are just LEDs, if they
were people, oh man, that would really blow the world.
Man, thinking of tax time and how much of my hard earned dollars that are withheld by the
government, this is total BS… Anyone feeling the same way, link to this article and Make article
and let’s start a revolution against stupid bomb squad! (again, this is so stupid, they REALLY
need some smarter people in the government…)
Really, there should be a news TV about how stupid these people are wasting our tax money,
instead these TV people are taking it so serious! (It’s a great thing I don’t watch TV and
don’t really care about how everyone else in the world thinks and the media.)
Leave your positive and negative thoughts!
P.S. If that’s the bomb squad, I better move to another country becaz that ain’t protection,
that’s plain stupidity.
Nike Lance4 Watch that has a digital compass and barometer!
Work was as crazy as usual, didn’t really have time to sneak some posts but now with some Hennesy and some fish, we are ready to go again.

Check out this watch I got for my birthday, it’s kinda cool. It has an embedded digital compass like our digital compass DIY except it’s much smaller and you don’t have to build it yourself. My girlfriend wanted to buy me a nice classic watch but I told her that I had to have something digital as that was just me…
I find this useful since I find GPS navigation to be too technological for me. I rather rely on my feel. (Which does get me lost sometimes but this adds to my feel!)
Yes, I think GPS navigation takes some fun out of driving these days… (Well, yes, I can’t really afford one or want to buy one…hehe)
The barometer function is very useful as the watch shows last 12 hours of atmospheric pressure. If the slope goes up, that means the weather will be good. If the slope goes down, that means the weather will be bad. I tried it and it actually is pretty accurate.
The altitude function will be great for my golf game for gauging the depth since the golf course next to my apartment has many ups and downs… (Lincoln Park is da bomb, cheap too!) Talking about Lincoln Park, there’s a band that’s called it too! (they have some good music that I like…)
Video - Tatoo machine

I’ve always wondered how the tatoo machines work, here’s a cool video about it
…most common method of tattooing in modern times is the electric tattoo machine, which inserts ink into the skin via a group of needles that are soldered onto a bar, which is attached to an oscillating unit. The unit rapidly and repeatedly drives the needles in and out of the skin, usually 80 to 150 times a second
Digital Stethoscope

Tight, now doctors can give patients a recording of their heartbeating sounds saved to an ipod!
Capturing heart and lung sounds is the most critical aspect of stethoscope design. Acquire the sound accurately, and anything is possible. The patented Electromagnetic Diaphragm (EmD) is unique to a Thinklabs stethoscope, and is the key to audio quality.
Having captured an accurate signal, electronic signal transmission right to the eartips ensures crisp clear sound. A simple experiment with your conventional stethoscope shows you why you need End-to-End Electronics - unique to Thinklabs design.
The leap from no-technology to high-technology has to be achieved while making the device easier to use, and to make patient examination a more productive and more rewarding experience.
Hackszine - new hack site

Cool, Makezine has another cool new blog called Hackzine.
Some quick links to their newest posts:
RGB Wall Lights at a restaurant in SF

With all the RGB projects we’ve done and we’ve seen around these days, it was cool to see an RGB
light in real world setting such as at a fusion restaurant in San Francisco. Anyways, I was way
too curious what lay underneath the color changing walls and had to take some pictures before
they stopped me. hehe….
These RGB lights for walls can be made from simple parts or can be bought if you need it for
your restaurant, bar, club, or other type of businesses.
Make Daisy MP3 Made! Touchscreen Desktop MP3 hack coming soon…
So we made the MP3 player and it works freakin’ great! The sound quality was as good as an off-the-shelf MP3s.
We plan to hack it using a CuTOUCH CT1720 and make some cool touchscreen menus for it.
Here’s some pictures of how it will fit in the touchscreen enclosure: (It fit perfectly!)
The only hurdle we face now is changing the firmware of the MP3 player a little bit so we can grab the MP3 song titles.

We just got our Make MP3 Player!

Yey, we just got our Make MP3 Player. We can’t wait to hack it. Garrett’s already stole it from
me and soldering up half of the pieces together, I will probably get my hands on it later today.
Thanks Phillip for the kit!,
Video game theme songs in Classic!
I remember hearing my mom play classic and opera all the time in the house when I was growing up.
Because of that, I really like to stick with trance classic or pop classic if I am listening to Classic at all these days.
Here’s a symphony that plays video game theme songs, something that I can associate to. Now I can actually listen to Classical music.
Speaking of symphonies and music, my dad wants to create a family band, he’s such a fanatic about drums and he’s got a whole professional set of drums. I did use to play the alto sax and enjoy blues so we will see if we can get our band together soon…

Whoa, check this video out. It’s crazy what ice and cold can do…
On the fateful snowy day in our video, things worked a little differently. When these people pressed the brakes, the heat generated by the tire-on-ice friction created a thin film of water over the frozen surface. The coefficient of friction for tires on ice with a thin film of water between them is pretty much zip, resulting in—you guessed it—auto Ice Capades. It took almost no braking force for the cars to skid and, once skidding, they continued in a uniform motion, on a decline, until they found something that could apply enough force to stop them. The most convenient thing, as it all too often is, was another car.
