Special version of Microsoft Vista for Korea
It seems that laws in Korea are causing Microsoft to ship a different version of Windows Vista for the country due to its cool laws to protect media player and instant-messaging software makers… yes, we need this everywhere, especially in the US.
Mr. Gates, you need to start opening your software to the masses, I think you’ve taken over the world already…
The company is hoping to have “K”–for Korea–versions of those products ready for its worldwide release. These versions would include links to media player and instant-messaging software from competitors, as required by a 2005 antitrust ruling by Korea’s Fair Trade Commission.
