South Koreans are moving toward a robotic society with the Korean Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) launching the pilot program of the national ‘Ubiquitous Robot Companion’ last week.This pilot program comprises of 1,000 of five different robot models which will be placed in homes across the country.

Cingular HTC 8525 400Mhz with 3G
Wow, this is nice phone, but 400Mhz might still be kinda slow for PocketPC…
It’s still forwarding us back to the old-skool 8125’s product page at the moment, but a tipster has managed to coax Cingular’s site into giving up the goods on the 8525 — Buy Now link and all. We’re guessing it has something to do with region or Premier account status, we’re not sure, but the point is that a select few are able to place their orders for Cingular’s first HSDPA smartphone as we speak.
Breaking out the wallet might be hard to justify for folks in 2G areas coming from an 8125, but if speed and power are top priorities, lick your chops as you read the full specs (highlights include a 400MHz Samsung core, 2-megapixel cam, and that fabulous 3G radio) after the break.

Lucky the incredible Wonder Pet from Zizzle is a furry version of a dumbed down Sony Aibo, but it should have enough tricks up its paws to keep the tiny ones happy, at least for a while. It is amazing how Zizzle managed to include a speech recognition system into Lucky and still sell it for $60 while making a profit in the process. Lucky is capable of responding to various voice commands and boasts up to 15 different tricks, including shake, beg, sit, tug of war, and even standing on it’s head.

Wow, this little button controller is actually a powerful little device for your wall. It’s got a web server, 64MB of RAM, well it really is a small powerful embedded computer that you can plug into a wall…WOW!

The WACI PAD-6 rocks a single-gang interface (like the JackPC) and boasts six dynamic LCD buttons which change based on which button you press first. For instance, tagging the “DVD” button can switch your six options to play / pause, stop, and volume, while choosing the “Lights” pad could lead to dimming controls. The device houses 64MB of RAM “supporting hundreds of unique instances,” an internal “250 MIPS web server” which triggers the macro switching, an IR port, one serial port, and a built-in Ethernet port. While there are currently no pricing or availability details to ponder over, we’re sure the WACI PAD-6 will be displacing plain ole electrical outlets real soon.
