“Boeing is developing a light aircraft prototype powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Currently, the aircraft is only capable of reaching a top speed of around 70 mph. (As can be seen in the above illustration, the aircraft looks more like a glider or unmanned drone than a 787 Dreamliner). However, if Boeing finds a way to make the hydrogen fuel cells lighter, cheaper and more powerful, the new technology could represent a radical breakthrough within the commercial aviation industry.”
