Posted in Consumer, DIY Zedomax, DoItYourself!, Entertainment, Microcontroller, Robots by max on the August 30th, 2006 at 5:38 pm

Today, I was thinking about how I can turn a household bulb into a party light by connecting an embedded computer for my next party in my garage.

We will use a SSR (solid state relay) relays to enable common AC household light…

what is RSS?

Posted in Blog, Consumer, Web by max on the August 30th, 2006 at 8:39 am

Yes, if you were wondering what RSS was on blog websites…

It’s basically a way you can read the blog or any other web info via a desktop client.

For example, if you use Firefox, you can add RSS feeds on your browser, so you can skim your blog sites’ titles instead of looking at the whole article…

What is Podcast?

Posted in Blog, Consumer, Web, Wireless by max on the August 30th, 2006 at 8:35 am

If you are a regular joe like me, you wouldn’t know what the hell a podcast is, it sounds like some kind of plant w/ beans…

Anyways, if you weren’t lazy enough, you could google this on wikipedia:
“The term podcast, like ‘radio‘, can mean both the content and the method of delivery. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. Though podcasters’ web sites may also offer direct download or streaming of their content, a podcast is distinguished from other formats by its ability to be downloaded automatically using software capable of reading feeds like RSS or Atom.”

Mobile Blog Plusmo Review

Posted in Consumer, Web, Wireless, cell phones by max on the August 30th, 2006 at 8:27 am

After getting my 8125 smartphone, I tried out plusmo for browsing zedomax blogs,

it was so slow I am just so sick of it…

Actually it hung up my new phone and when my new phone restarted, it would still hang.

The only way I could fix it was by connecting to my phone via ActiveSync and completing deleting plusmo program…

So my advice, dont use plusmo… please ignore plusmo links on our blog until it’s been erased.

Perhaps, it might work for other phones…

but now we are actively seeking out a better mobile blog solution as we speak… :)

Update 9/1/2006

This has been fixed by using Mobile Plugin from Alexking.org.

Now you can simply log on to zedomax.com from your PDA.

Hmmm…

Dave Winer is going mobile using less pics…basically…

maybe people of zedomax should try this instead of “a picture is worth a thousand words”…
